I just started today and been binge watching your videos. Thank you for this content!! I have zero experience in this field just a degree in psychology. It seems really rewarding but I haven't even taken the 40 hour online course yet. I'm hoping that when that happens, it will make more sense because day 1 was just super foreign to me and overwhelming. I was doing observation today only and I don't even know if I was pairing as I didn't even know what that was until watching this video! Thanks again for the content 💞

Can you make a video on what to do the first week with clients in detail what should we be focused on and how to execute successfully. For example should we be getting to know our clients through the parent as soon as we walk into the door and is there a list of questions you can suggest ? Or should we be trying to make a connection with the client as soon as we walk into the door and leave the questions for last? I'm a visual person so role playing or watching interaction helps a lot. Thank you so much for your videos i think you are amazing. Would love to continue to learn more from you keep posting them videos.

I got some basic pocket t-shirts from amazon and a fanny pack, which I love, as my uniform! My pants vary, but that's pretty much my uniform. I love the pocket in the t-shirts and fanny pack because I almost always need a pocket to store little toys (especially when blocking) and tokens and things like that.

Hi! I am a new ABA therapist, working towards my RBT credential. I have had my first client for about 2 months. My question is about physical restraint. Fortunately, my client is nonviolent and I dont foresee ever needing to restrain with him. However, as I am looking for this to be a long term career, I am concerned about needing to restrain with future clients. I have a spine condition that I had surgery for a year ago. I am physically restricted in what I can do. I am not supposed to "lift more than a gallon of milk," for example. Physically restraining a strong child would put me at serious risk of injury. My question is, is this something that I would be protected from termination if the issue arose? Am I within my right to request only clients who do not become physically aggressive and require restraint? I am looking to make this a long term career, but worried that this issue may arise in the future. Thanks so much for all your videos!

How much do you make in Florida as an RBT? I'm starting as a BT, tech 2 and mentor in NJ, the rates are all different but RBTs get paid 30 here before supplemental pay

So do you have to watch multiple kids as rbt? Or is it really one on one ?
