Thank you so much for posting this. I will definitely try your recipe. However I think we will lose some starch if we wash after cutting the plantain/potato into small pieces. You keep all the starch if we wash them after peeling, before cutting. Starch gives our fufu the bounce. Peel, wash, cut and blend. Thank you.
Can I ask why not season the water you use with salt, pepper, squeeze of lemon and a bay leaf as to add a bit of taste to the fufu? I recently tried the fufu and I found it very hard to eat and swallow. It was quite bland and tasteless. But I am intrigued by this and want to try to change the taste to make it more enjoyable.
Looks 👍. But I prefer using a whisker first for stiring at the initial stage (this is BEST for avoiding lumps when also making tuwon masara, elubo, Usi, semovita etc,etc ).And then progress to the spatula as soon as the broth has really thickened in texture. Much 🥰 😘 😗❤❤❤❤
Honestly this probably smoother then the one with cassava but taste not really a difference its really the texture that would change and what ya got at home
