How to preserve proof coins before submission to grading services 

I only ever used cotton gloves not plastic gloves and I wouldn't have rubbed them even with gloves on, also been collecting for around 40 years, otherwise I do agree with this man on the chemical he is using to dip them in.

Those Ike's conserved turned out really great . I have been collecting over 40 years . I have conserved a lot of uncirculated and high end A.U. Silver coins . I have done the samething with quite a few Gold coins . The majority of the coins i conserved i had graded except ones i conserved for friends and most of them had their coin or coins graded . Everyone one of them came back with a straight problem free proper grade that were submitted for grading to N.G.C. and P.C.G.S. . This is literally what the grading companies do with gold and silver coins when you pay them extra money for conservation .

Thats the way to do it folks.and everyone of those coins will come back with a straight grade

Wow, those Ikes had some beautiful blue toning. Looks great clean too, but the colors are really nice.

I use acetone dip after I rinse it off in hot distilled water help evaporate off coin quicker with hot distilled water … acetone is for extra assurance make sure nothing was on that coin before sending to grading ….

Nothing wrong with a quick dip to clean up appearance. If done roperly the luster Isn't disturbed and you can get stright grade.

Pressurized air in the can (the kind you use to blow dust from your computer) is great for blowing lint.

This the best cleaner EVER but what he’s not saying is after using it you MUST make sure you get all the cleaner OFF!! Make sure they’re air dry!!

Don't rub on the coins even at slightest pressure. Just rinse them then blow dry right away. Water has hard minerals that will dry and leave marks on the cameo surface. PCGS/NGC will use jewelry microscope (30x magnification) to grade the surface condition of proof coins. We won't see the rubbing damage unless under microscope and believe me, they will be scratched.

I just bought the new reverse proof Morgan and peace dollar set and the peace dollar is perfect but the Morgan has weird looking stuff on the cheek, I called the us mint and they will refund me my money if I return both coins but they can't send me a new set because they are already sold out, I wanted to send these coins in to be graded and I was expecting a perfect 70 but there is no way the Morgan will get that grade, what do you think? Should I try this or just take the 68/69 grade?

Does e-z-est remove fingerprints?

Everybody has their own methods but I think you're actually leaving them in the solution a little too long. They do call it dipping not soaking.
