Nice method. Me, I’m lazy, I just tie a scarf to keep my edges and roots flat and leave the ends hanging out the end of my scarf, I then just put a bonnet on
I feel ya! 😂 instead of doing this every night, this method could also just be used if the hair starts getting too flat or starts losing that body and bounce that tends to happen when it starts to get a little oily and you’re not quite ready to wash it yet
I feel that 😂 I feel like it takes years to really get down and I’ve def got it down now but I know that it’s one of those things that a lot of people hate/struggle with so I figured I’d show an alternative 😂😌 let me know how you like it when you try it out! ☺️
to be honest i don’t specifically remember how it felt that night but i’m pretty sure it wasn’t! when there’s such few flexi rods it most likely won’t be too much of an issue
I don’t think I typically experience my hair being dry when it’s silk pressed; if anything that’s when my hair is least dry. Do you brush/comb your hair every night when it’s straight?
not necessarily! that’s why I asked if you’re brushing/combing your hair because if you do that you’ll be able to distribute the natural oil your scalp produces throughout the strands of your hair which will coat the hair and should make it feel decently moisturized, so I would def recommend doing that every night and see if that helps! It’s good to that every night anyway to get all the tangles out anyways
You def don’t want to be using the aid of other products for moisture when you have a silk press because you don’t wanna weigh the hair down with outside oils a which will end up reducing the longevity of the press
