Thank you so much for posting this video. My mother passed away a few days ago and I wanted to keep some of the flowers from her funeral an hang them in a picture frame in my living room and bedroom. I am gonna do this today an can't wait till they are dried an pressed so I can hang them. Thank you so much !

Love your videos - can't wait to try this technique. Two questions -1) Where did you find a large press - I have had no luck finding one that is large enough. and 2) What kind of paper do you use for your layers in the press? Thank You!

Hi! So excited for you to try it out! I made all of my flower presses, there are lots of videos online that can show you how. I used mostly computer paper in my press, but I'm experimenting with using a combination of computer paper and cotton fabric!

Thank you, I'm glad you found the video helpful! Removing the centermost petals ensures that what you have left to press is thinner. The thinner the flower, the higher chance it has of pressing beautifully since there is less moisture in the flower overall! I hope this makes sense!

I've got a question. Can you press flowers that have already dried out? I'm trying to make a gift for my fiancé using all the old flowers he gave me, but they are all crunchy, and I'm worried if I try pressing them, they will crumble-

Hi, thanks for the question! Unfortunately once the flowers are dried they can't be pressed. You can buy the flowers fresh and press them, but they won't be the original ones. There are also lots of tutorials on projects to create with dried flowers so that can provide you with some inspiration if you still wanted to create something!

Do you have to let the rose dry a bit before pressing it or is it okay if it's been in water?

Hi! If just the stem has been in water then a quick wipe is all that needs to be done before pressing. If you're pressing fresh roses from the garden it's best not to press them in the morning (because of the morning dew) or after a watering! Pressing fresh is always best, don't let the flowers dry out but don't have extra water either! I hope this helps!

Hi! Thanks so much for the question! Depending on your rose and your environment the rose can take anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks! You can check on your roses every few days and if you notice the paper is moist you can swap out the paper!

I pressed mine and it started decaying. I'm guessing it's because some moisture was still in it. How do I preserve it?

I pressed my flowers the other day (for a surprise for my gf), but ive had to use books. Ive weighed them down with a reqlly heavy weight, however i forgot to remove the centres of the rose. After 2 days ive checked on them and the part where the stem meets the centre has turned a little brown. Is this something which will ruin the rose by rotting? Or should i not worry and continue the process?

I have a few roses I pressed exactly like this and I've found for me it doesn't affected the rose petals or stem! If you don't like the look of it you can just cut the stem in half (to make it thinner) and it will less likely turn brown! Hope this helps!

how do you store them now? like i wanted to put it under a plastic tightly. kind of laminate it? how do i do that?

Which glue you use to reconstruct the flowers?

I've used Aileen's Tacky glue, Mod Podge and glue stick. My favorite is Mod Podge because it's a runnier constancy and I use glue stick for delicate flower pieces! I hope this helps!

Hey ones you paste the flowers won’t the book turn a bit brown around the flower ? I’m doing the same collecting the flowers my bf gave me but dnt know how to paste it perfectly on the book
