I have been a pastor for over 40 years and still don’t understand “pastor burnout.” How can anyone who is doing what he believes our Father has called him to do burn out? If you are living for other people’s expectations, you may be in the wrong vocation. The only one you have to please is God.
I think it can happen when you have a heart to serve and fail to be balanced. Your greatest gift can sometimes become your greatest weakness. Anyone that has a heart to give May struggle with giving too much
