Great vid *. I was one of those people when i first started collecting that was like, "i dont have any bugs". .... until i did get them 🙄. It very quickly taught me that every plant is susceptible in any home. And that they can spread within 1 day! Great advice 😁 i had such a good cackle at the bloopers, and the ' bugger ' pun was priceless 🤣🤣. Thankyou for always having great advice and cheery vids. I hope u have a lovely week ahead 🦋🌺

Hey Sally! I have just had a breakout of thrips myself, which is the first time I've ever dealt with them, so that was pretty stressful, but I think I caught them early, thank goodness...! Thanks for watching...I have a new video coming this Sunday, finally! :D

Since I started watching your uploads I have been showering my plants every other time I water them and follow up w a good prevention spray. Normally around the season changes I get hit w thrips. This year I have seen the odd thrip but I have not had an infestation (touch wood). I firmly believe that the reduced pest problem is due to the addition of these steps. I have also picked up a magnifying glass to help my bad eyes see pests when they are tiny. Thanks for sharing all these helpful tips 👍

Excellent video. Very informative. Can you tell me what the dilution ratio is for Neem and water? I purchased a small bottle of Neem online and it did not come with any instructions.

Thank you for watching! I believe the mixture if 1-3 ml of neem to 1 litre of water. :)

I use 1/4 tsp cold pressed neem oil, 1 drop dish soap, 10-12 oz water. You have to emulsify the oil with soap for it work. They say you can use 8 oz of water but I have noticed this stresses my plants out because it's just too strong.

Wow I’ve been a plant person for a long time & I’ve never had pest except for those darn fungus gnats!!! I’ve just recently had a bad infestation of mealy bugs. They wiped out a lot of my plants!! I cleaned the leaves with Neem oil & the whole routine. Sprayed everyone of my plants with pest spray. Any other suggestions???? Helpppp

Strongly recommend examining your plants in all the crevices (they are sneaky), if you see a mealy use a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and wipe it off. The mealy turns a weird brown/red colour in the alcohol and dies instantly. They aren't the worst pest to have but they are kinda gross LoL good luck 🙂

Lol, spider mites feel right at home in my grow tent with 90% humidity 😅 As long as there food they'll never think, "Oh, it's too clean and humet in here, I'd rather go live outside." Same with spraying/showering. If the water pressure is not strong enough to wash them off, these bastards will simply dry out (especially adults) and continue doing their things 😢 The sad truth is that pests are easier to catch and defeat early than put a ton of prevention efforts which might not even work or which we simply don't repeat often enough.
