Can you help me with a question?? In my wechat, functionality restrictions appear, but it says it is a temporary restriction, does this mean that it will return to normal over time??
I am facing an issue in wechat recently so the issue is that when my friend is trying to scan my QR code to add me as friend on wechat, on their screen it shows, "unable to add as friend due to violation of their account" and I tried searching on youtube for fix but one search shows to check my chat box if Wechat sent me something but unfortunately there is nothing and I don't know what to do and I also tried to contact the wechat team but they did not reply for a long time :( do you have any fix???!!
Usually those violations are listed after 48 hours. 30 days at worst. Have you asked them to try and add you? Don't change devices frequently with a single wechat account, it causes issues.
You need to get it unblocked first by having a wechat friend assist you with unblocking the account. Just follow the steps to unblock. You have a balance on your wechat balance without a Chinese bank account? Or you did link a Chinese bank account?

Once you are blocked, it is hard to get unblocked. Buit there is a method you can follow in their process. Usually requires a friend of yours on wechat to help unblock.
I would also add that you should NEVER be discussing politics on there (even in private chats), especially if its something not alligning with the Chinese govt political views
