hello very late but still interested wondering if the wechat with agents still works kinda reached a deadend and dont know how to actually get my order to me
Hi , i already have a Tao Bao & 1688 account half done and apparently frozen because I don't have Alipay yet. Xan I fix that by creating an account or is it too lste because I already have the 1688 and taobao? I ask that because you say it will mess up if you don't do things in the right order ... TIA
@@nathaliebarre1644 you would just have to make another account once you have created an alipay account. Then taobao and 1688 would be connected to that new alipay account.
If you pay with your foreign non Chinese bank card (visa or mastercard), they will charge in USD usually. Thats if the supplier has set it up that way too.
@beam1beam tourcard should work as it makes a puedo Chinese bank account for you. There is no official way to top up as a foreigner though unless you have a Chinese bank account. Or somebody sends you the cny to your alipay.
@BorderlessCommerce sorry wanted to confirm a bit more. Basically it's an online store through weidian that I am trying to purchase from. It doesn't take credit card through alipay. Do you think it would work in this case?
@beam1beam hit or miss. Most likely not if using alipay with a foreign bank card. More likely if using alipay tourcard. I haven't used weidian in a while, but you have a chance to try wechat to make payments too. Either with their tourcard or with a foreign card directly. The tourcard has much more chance of success though with those platforms.
In most cases yes. You can try it. Make sure to use the alipay tourcard to pay or your alipay balance, not a foreign card. It gets risky without any communication though.

You mean items in auction or "pre order" options? Unfortuantely, Taobao cannot ship to LATAM, but you can do a couple of options: 1.) We can provide air shipping to most LATAM places and help you place the order at borderlesscommerce.net 2.) We can also ship to a shipping agent in China that specialized in LATAM shipping if need cheaper options 3.) You can try to purchase direct on taobao yourself and send to a shipping agent in China that will ship to you in LATAM. A few choices for you to choose from. Hope that helps.
If not buying in bulk and sending to a local warehouse in your country, aliexpress. If you have a proven business model and can operate a warehouse (from your home works too), 1688 better.
Yeah, cross border payments not allowed for foreigners and they stopped with Chinese a long time ago. Need to ask a Chinese citizen to send money to your via their Chinese bank account. Or use channels like swapsy or other 3rd party. If you legally work in China, you can try wise or skyremmit.
Super useful content. I quickly found out how difficult xian yu is for foreigners. My passport expired so Im waiting on a new one for the moment to get verified on AliPay. May I ask how you managed to even install the goofish app on your phone? Google Play Store wont let me in, tried dl the apk from other sites, to no avail. TaoBao and Alipay apps installed tho.
Did I get it right? If they don't accept Visa or Mastercard your Alipay is useless? But if they accept Mastercard/Visa anyway, then I don't need Alipay because I can pay directly with the card? Or am I wrong?
almost, just because they accept mastercard/visa on alipay does not mean they also accept the physical card as payment! They sometimes would only accept the digital wallet version connected to your alipay but may not have a POS to accept your payment. It gets complicated in this ecosystem in China sometimes. I would say you are good to go if you registered for an alipay tourcard account and linked your visa/mastercard in your alipay account under your cards. Then it is very unlikely for them not to work for payments.
go through the wechat tourcard verification with your passport and see if it still asks for Chinese phone number. Best to open the program inside of wechat too
Actually, I logged in to my 1688 using my iPad but my challenge is that it is not displaying the full screen by the right hand side in order to have a full view of the overview of the platform that you explained earlier in the video.
@@ChiamakaMkpuma-h4m what if you try downloading Google Chrome browser in the iPad and open 1688 web version on the iPad? Can even activate Google Chrome desktop view for the original ui experience
@@ChiamakaMkpuma-h4m When using google chrome on a pad, you can open the browser and under settings, select desktop mode which will imitate as if you are using a desktop computer instead of using 1688 on an app.
Once you are blocked, it is hard to get unblocked. Buit there is a method you can follow in their process. Usually requires a friend of yours on wechat to help unblock.
Yes, there is a live agent on Xianyu. ONLY DURING CHINESE BUSINESS HOURS THOUGH. Under me tab, top right click the customer service icon, then bottom right click on the icon again, then ask for 人工。 Only Chinese is supported, no other languages.
I have signed in via alipay my real name has been verified but I can’t seem to verify the other 2 options, I keep getting a message to verify when I’m trying to message sellers please help !!
these are the chinese citizen authentication. i’m having the same problem. at first, it worked for 2-3 days after connecting my alipay real name authentication but the next day i got a restriction for not verifying my identity(chinese identity). whatever.
If you are physically in China, it may work for taxis and public transportation. It depends what kind of account the user has. Its tougher, if not using wechat tourcard, to do it overseas though without a vpn. There are transactions limits too.
I cannot guarantee you will get your money back, but at least start the reporting process for a chance to get it back. Do you have the wechat persons ID card info and phone number? Have you reported them on wechat?
@@vickybchiumia9626 Ahh, you cant send to personal alipay accounts if you are using your foreign bank card. A way to overcome this is to apply for the tourcard and top up that account.

Hi, I just paid my train ticket to Tibet using Alipay a week ago. The travel agent sent me their barcode and I just scanned it to make the payment. Problem is if you are using foreign credit card linked to Alipay, there is an admin/a foreign fee. In my case, the total amount I needed to pay was CNY 2400, but when I scanned the barcode, it gave me the total of CNY 2472. There was a fee of CNY 72 which to me, is very expensive. Does anyone else experience the same thing everytime you pay mercants using Alipay linked to your foreign bank cards? Thanks a lot!
What do I do if I didn’t receive my order and it’s been a long time since they shipped it? I accidentally deleted the order on the app while trying to do the refund and now can’t find it. Pls help me

@@BorderlessCommerceUnionP@y app also offers a 90 day tour card and they claim that their partnership Bank of Fujian option charges 0 per cent as opposed to Bank of Shanghai 5 per cent charge for topping up. Still, not clear if there are servicing fees and how much. Do you know anything about this? Thanks in advance.
You can try it. The address would be 澳大利亚 and Australia is on the list. Realize that the process to use taobao 100% would be order goods -> sent to their overseas warehouse -> pay for shipping again -> sent to your address. A bit more complicated but doable.
Good method. If users cannot understand Chinese on Taobao, they can use translation machine like Google Translate or Immersive Translate to help them translate Chinese into English
Its better to have it set up before arriving in China, but of course it can be done while you are in China. The apporval process for the tourcard can take 1-2 days though, which is why I would recommend to do it and get it set up before coming here.

Isn't it kinda much to ask for a passeport verification? I was very down to start using Taobao but I'm not sure I will anymore with all these verification steps lol.. Isn't there another way to verify and start using Taobao without giving away too much personal info?
I’m having a problem, when I apply for tour card it reject me the card, I don’t know what I do wrong? Why they reject? My passaport and everything is okay
It could either be your bank rejected or them rejecting. To confirm chat with their customer service on alipay and ask your bank to allow the transaction to occur. Worst case, try another visa or Mastercard.
@@jenywilliams663 if they are rejecting your application, it's probably because your passport info doesn't match the info you put in the system. Make sure the selfie is exactly as they want it, same with your passport page and the admin details to match exactly as it is on your passport. You can also email them to follow up

Cos I live in United states my debit card is from united states but my passaport is from Argentina, I’m argentina, I do have US ID but I’m not a citizen so I don’t have US passport, so for the tourcard I added my passaport info with my argentina address, it’s probably that? But I don’t know what to do because when I added my US address they reject it anyway
@jenywilliams663 I think that is your issue then. Your passport country, phone number and bank card must be from the same country for it to verify properly.
Depends to which country. We can provide the shipping to most countries but not all. Note that you will be billed twice, one for the product and one for the overseas shipping
Ahh, then that's a whole different situation. You need to register for a wechat account using wechat proper and a phone number not from HK or Macau for this to work.
Use a 3rd party to help you pay like vpayfast. Or ask a family member or friend with a passport to help you set up wechat tourcard and you pay them with your local currency
