How To Price A Boat Detail | Boat Detailing Business Tips 

I'm from Tampa, Florida and I just did my first boat detail a few days ago. I've been a mobile detailer for 10 years and boat detailing is a different animal. Pricing seems to be a lot easier than I thought. This video really helps. I didn't do too bad on the first job but I can definitely improve by first buying the surface rust remover and bring something stronger to clean off white leather. I'm scared of bleach or comet but I may have to keep that on me. The owner loved it and will have me to do another one so that's awesome. Keep up the great work!

Just finished my first ever boat detail on a 19ft centre console, client said it just needed a cut and polish ended up needing a wet sand, 2 step compound and 2 step polish and more. Never worked with gel coat so was a learning curve but came up mint 👌 cheers for all the info man you have been a huge help

Just a boat owner in West Texas, been doing trial and error on mine and watching videos. My boat had light oxidation on the back end. Thought I could get rid of it with level R. Boy was I wrong. Going to learn to wet sand next. Wouldn’t mind advertising a little and doing boat restorations when I have time. Thanks for the info, really has helped. Keep up the great content!

Ontario Canada, Nice video bro I usually just do 1 to 3 steps But I should definitely get into some more steps if the customer will pay for it Some people are pretty cheap when it comes to doing their boat so I try to work with their budget and the season is very short because of winter, I’m still a little scared to wet sand I don’t want to mess up anyone’s boat , Hopefully next season will be better for me pretty much over now Starting to get cold

I'm starting my business in octobre..i'm in the starting block and you realy help me. Unfortunatly most of your products are not avalable in France.. I'm just RUPES tools full equiped but need to discover many compoundS, wax and so on.. Prices are very différents where you live its Real.. AT 30km feom me in (saint Tropez) prices is x2 or X3. If you are chip..people don't call you..thinking you are without expérience or Bad. Its not an easy step to make a pricing list but seriously the base! The business start here ! See you soon. Thanks

Drake, I notice that you don't "wax" or "seal" below the water line. Is that common you don't or do you charge extra if they want it done? I'm about to start my first detailing business and really need the advise. I've watched 4 other guys on youtube doing detailing and you are the best at breaking everything down and showing everyone how to do the job right without cutting corners. Thanks a lot for this! Very helpful for someone like me wanting to step into the boat area of detailing instead of just cars. Would this be a similar pricing strategy for pontoon boats as well? The variable I assume would be polishing the pontoons. I had a customer ask me about a pontoon boat. Would you suggest a basic polish on the pontoons for one package with the rest of the paint and then a mirror-finish package as well? Thanks for any help man!
