What I always find that works best for the edges is to prime them first then sand them Down because when I have sanded first then primed the edge is still rough, priming first kind of clogs the pours to sand smooth !

That screw block idea is a good one. My problem is that I often get runs or blobs on the edges.

Hi Justin, great video. Found it at the right time as I'm about to paint MDF shelfs. What's the process if your were to add a colour? I'm looking at using the pick your colour wood vaspar paint from B&Q so the shelfs and walls match. Would you follow the steps in your video first before adding the colour (5 coats - 1 prime, 2 white top, 2 colour) ? Or would I use colour paint for the two top coats (1 prime, 2 colour top coats) ? Cheers
