Processing Scrap Ac Compressors/Sealed units? This is a video explaining how you or your employees can cut apart sealed units or ac compressors in under 5 minutes. These average 8-10% copper once fully processed. I do not have my production line set up in the video. I just do these on the tailgate of my truck. But if you build a table you could run 3,000lbs of these or more every day.

Good video. You explained things very well. Also as a side note, I like your shirt. I spent about 6 months in Vilseck before Desert Shield/Desert Storm kicked off

thank you. Unfortunately I only spent about a week or so in Vilseck for a class. Most of my time in Europe was in Poland, Romania, and Bulgaria.

Thank you. Everyone has problems and screws up every now and then. A lot of the other people on youtube like to hide their screw ups and I feel as though that makes a lot of people watching those channels feel like they themselves are failures. I don't include all my screw ups in videos because a lot of it would make for some boring videos but I do try to make my videos real.

yes. Usually I shut off the generator by turning the fuel valve and letting it shut itself off. I had just come back from Europe at the time of filming this so even though I was running it daily at the time of filming this there were somethings that I had to do maintenance on randomly.

I'm not sure if he mentioned it but sometimes there's a decent sized brass weight on the bottom of the armature and sometimes a brass piece on top of the armature. I just noticed he mentioned it. I don't know why it's not worth his time. It takes a hammer, chisel and about 15 seconds.

Because By the time I get it off I've wasted so much time that the amount of money gained doesn't equate to the amount of money I could have gained by just leaving it on there and doing something more valuable with my time. I took a few off in the beginning. Not all of them are brass. so that's time spent checking, then you got to hold the thing still pick up your hammer and punch and whack the thing off. then put it in a bucket. the entire process takes longer than 15 seconds and your only getting about 1/10th of a pound of brass which goes for about $1.50/ pound or somewhere thereabouts. so each one is worth about 15 cents. I sell the steel for 7 cents a pound. so I make a bit less than 1 cent on it as is. I profit 14 cents per brass thing. I'm trying to make at least 33 cents per minute messing with scrap. so yes if brass is up and the ENTIRE PROCESS of getting them off takes you less than 15-20 seconds than maybe it might be worth the hassle, but honestly I would rather just move on with my life. because again you have to check each and every one. if I check one and its steel that's time wasted. I'm not just messing with one or two of these things. when I was running em I was running thousands of pounds of em at a time.

@@scrapmanindustries ok. I hear you. Everyone has a different process I guess and look at things a little different. I have a hard time letting good shit go. I'm surprised you spent so much time spelling it out to me. By the way I bought my plasma cutter because of your videos. Thanks bro.

@@woodguy76 you are welcome. and I used to also clean things till the point where everything was taken off. but somethings like dirty aluminum for instance I have learned to just leave it as is and move on to something bigger and better. it took awhile to learn that but its made me more money than sitting there taking every bolt out of a rusty scooter or stripping the fabric off of aluminum chairs.

@@scrapmanindustries ya I'm learning to leave stuff that can be left. I'm a little OCD too so it's not always easy. I appreciate you passing on the info bro. I really do. My backs screwed up so I'm watching a few of your videos before I go out.

AWESOME. THANK YOU. How is it called the tool that you use to pull out the copper? And can I found it on Amazon?
@scrapmanindustries

I use fencing pliers to pull the copper out. I don't use Amazon that often but you can find them at TSC. (tractor supply company).

The generator had some sort of issue with the carburator and fuel filter. I have since fixed it and not had any issues.
