I was able to program my 2010 corolla with no problem. The key programmer was easy to use and instructions came with it. The customer service was great and actually checked up with me to see if I had any questions. 10/10 would recommend
I received the programmer, opened the box, watched the video, followed the instructions, and within 5 minutes, my new key fob was working perfectly. I tossed it back into the box, attached the included shipping label, and within 15 minutes of removing the package from my mailbox, the job was complete and the package was ready to be picked up by the post office. The only “drawback” isn’t even a drawback: it took about a week to get my deposit money back, and they really didn’t give me a hard time about it. It would have cost me more money, including the fully refundable deposit, to have a locksmith do exactly what I did for myself. I would absolutely utilize this service again, if I ever need it
I ordered and programmed a key for a 2019 Toyota Corolla and save me significant money over the dealership. Definitely worth it. Also did the photo cut on my key which worked fine. Only complaint I had was that they didn't have a video that really covered my car, but the written instructions were complete.
To Tom's Keys: Thank you so much..! My precut key works like it is suppose to. The programming was easy. Took me less than five minutes. Your company saved me hundreds of dollars compared to what the Toyota dealer was going to charge me. Thanks again..!! D. Wilson. Florissant, MO.
Chris Biencourt 1 minute ago I used this service to program a new integrated remote/key and a non-remote key for my daughter's 2014 Corolla. As it turned out, I also had to erase lost keys in order to add two new ones as the prior owner only passed along one key and Toyota limits the total number of keys the car can remember and my daughter's car was obviously at that limit. Tom's Key's customer service helped me diagnose this and helped me erase lost keys to add the new keys. The kit was easy, videos are helpful, and service was great. I definitely recommend this service, as it was much cheaper and more convenient than going to the nearest Toyota dealership.
2011 Corolla key with the G stamped on the blade. - Put original key in and out of ignition 5 times. Finish with key in ignition - open & Shut the door 6 times - Remove original key, insert new key (available on ebay) - leave key for 60 secs (or until security light goes off) - After 60 secs the security light stops flashing. - Take key out - open and shut the door - take new key to locksmith to be cut. - test new key DONE. NO programmer needed. I just did these steps and it worked for me.
this is a great solution for programing keys. did both types of keys, one with the buttons on the key and just a key with the chip in the head. their support was amazing and very responsive when I needed assistance!! when ordering keys, be very specific about the make, model and even VIN. programmed my keys in minutes!! their instructions are very easy to use, especially with the videos! thanks again for the great service and deals! saved hundreds of $$ with programing my own keys 👍
Had a positive experience overall programming key/remote for 3 toyota cars using Tom's programmer. Give it a shot. They offer help and full refund if you are unsuccessful.

Just to clarify, I need to sit in the car and make sure all the doors are shut before I then get out of the car to attach the cable before having to get back in the car, making sure all the doors are shut... I want to make sure I don't get this wrong XD following instruction is important.
I bought a new lock cylinder that all ready comes with 2 keys, and the keys all ready come whith the teeth shape, does the process is the same in this case? Thank you.
Hi Tom , lost all my car keys. Where can i get another key from ? Its toyota corolla 2007 model . Can i ask to make another key without replacing the ignition assembly??
Find a good automotive locksmith and they can make another key for you without changing the ignition. Toyota dealership can too. It they say they need to change the ignition they don't know what they are doing. If the car door is unlocked and you are not in a rush we may have some info that can help you, but it might take a week or two. Help@tomskey.com
Hi there, you may visit our website tomskey.com, we might have what you want. Just note that only original remote features will work, regardless of the buttons included in the Keyless Entry Remote. This key does not add remote features that your vehicle did not have before.
2010 corolla and I can't get my key to program. The remote worked, but I followed the directions and the security light isn't turning on during that step
Hey what's up, i have a 2017 toyota corolla L ( basic model ) I wanted to get a regular key and remote but they couldn't because they don't know if my car has keyless entry , would you tell me if there's another way to do that. I just need the remote to open my car. Thanks !
My car has the same issue. The car won't start all the lights on the dashboard come on I change the alternator and the starter where this procedure work for me? I really don't want to spend money at the dealership just to reprogram it if I could do it at home
Hello Tom, thanks for the video. I have a Corolla 2006 and my key works well, I can open the doors and start the engine plugging the key, but I can´t lock or unlock the doors remotely also the panic button is not working. do you know what can be the cause of this malfunction? thanks!
Hi Casey, You should get a Genuine Toyota Corolla Flip Car Keys when you have bought a car from Dealers. People have ripped you off by giving you a standard key. Talk to people to get a genuine key back and call the Consumer Department if they have refused to do so. They must do the right things anyway. Good luck! Andy from Melbourne Australia.
I have a Toyata Yaris 2009 the blinking light is in the computer screen it stays on flashing when car is off . Lately I forgot to turn off my car light which drained my battery so I jumped started it only after I got a family friend to go under the car and put jumper cables so the car doors unlocked Bcuz once the battery dies the remote access won’t open doors or anything So I’m saying this I don’t have a master key bcuz I bought it used and now it cuts off after I started it up Now can I start the car without the master key and program it manually ?I seen many RU-vid videos showing I can program it easily But I don’t see this key as a master key 🔑 HELP PLZ
The programmer gets paired to the VIN number of the first vehicle you program. It can make several keys for that vehicle. But for a different vehicle you need to get another programmer Visit tomskey.com or reach out to us at help@tomskey.com and we will be glad to assist you

It should be stated that the 11th gen Corollas starting 2012 to 2017 do not work using this method. 12th gen starting in 2018 I have tried several procedures and have not yet found one that works. I even did the remote program process as if my locks did cycle, even though they never did. Nothing. Far as I can tell you need a minimum $600 high end OBD2 bidirectional programmer or a Toyota intelligent tester v2 or v3 to pull it off for the Corolla starting 2012. Mine is 2018 LE 12th Gen. I have spent over 2hrs looking up methods and tricks most of which are near identical. Nada. You can still give it a go but if it don't go after a few tries don't waste half your night like I just did. It's either a programmer, tis technet or a lock Smith (ugh). You shouldn't have to own an expensive specialized tool just to perform a simple task. The immobilizer chip I get but the keyless entry remote come on Toyota.
Depends on the vehicle. Starting in about 2010 Toyota increased security features and they require electronics. Some older vehicles can have ability to program without electronic equipment.
What are the chances of a malfunction if every time I use the replacement key and 2 or 3 min driving , the car star blinking check engine light and some other signs on the dashboard is that a coincidence or something wrong with the replacement key? Oh but I forgot, if I take the replacement key and use the original one , the check engine goes off and nothing shows on the dashboard. Any help please

Have a unique problem. Transponder key was intermittently not working seemed tied to cold temps. Presumed battery. Backup key works. Replaced battery. Key still doesnt work. Both keys chips turn off the blinking red light. So is it some of the contacts or wire failed and the transponder needs replacement?
