Hi, @juniorelectrical499. The selection for the R0 terminal on the main control board is parameter 230. You can set that to look at the “Drive Status Conditions” and then choose the condition you’d like to engage/disengage the brake system (running, stopped, faulted etc.).
You can connect your relay to the drive relay output (terminal R0, parameter 230). You can set the drive relay to trigger based off “Drive Status conditions”. Choose the appropriate condition you’d like to engage/disengage the brake coil.
@@Vanmeterinc1 We all know that Rockwell has ways to run normal VFDs and Servo drives in a demo mode to run 120 vac so this is why I ask. The drive probably has a parameter change to allow a reduced run. Again, this is why I ask.
Sorry for the late response! For safety purposes stop inputs need to be wired normally closed (N.C.). If the drive sees 0V on a terminal assigned as “Stop,” it will issue a “Stop Asserted” command. When the drive sees 24VDC or 120VAC (I/O board dependent) it will stop issuing the “Stop Asserted” command. Hope this helps.
Is there anyway my stop parameter could work as a normally open rather than a normally closed. As in having it stop the vfd when the 24vdc or 120vac is outputed rather than when it drops out.
