Hi again Jorge. I checked all satellites, I couldn't find any free FTA channels. All brasilian channels now moved to digital boxes. You can get a free digital box, but you need wifi for that. Some boxes are free , you don't have to pay any yearly fee. Regards

Hi, this is satellite, so you can get any available channels in Galaxy 19 anywhere in Mexico, USA, Canada and the Carribean. But using a roof antenna, no because Mexico is 136 miles away from Los Angeles, antennas can only pick up to a maximum 100 miles. Americans living at the border with Mexico, yes.

Hello. I am in Williams Lake, BC Canada. I have 37 inch dish and GT Media V7 PRO receiver. Can not get Galaxy 19. What possibly can be wrong? Thank you.

Hi, 3 things, check the LNB head, some heads are not FTA. Second, the dish has to be 36 inch (90 cm), Third the receiver you have should show FTA in specs. You can use an FTA satellite receiver only. Check if your receiver is FTA, it has to say FTA somewhere. The 4th thing, you know the signal is very hard to get, it's very weak, you need to use any Galax19 Frequency to search Galaxy 19 if you don't have a signal meter. Once you get all your FTA devices required, go to settings in your receiver and find Galaxy 19, select for example 12028 H 22000 or 12177 V 23000, you can search for other frequencies online. Choose one and rotate your Dish very very very VERY slowly to all directions until you get 85% signal for the frequency you have chosen, don't scan yet, just get the signal first, patience.

@@Amzeeel Hello. Thank you for the info. I got all equipment. My dish is 37 inch, and receiver is FTA, and linear is also Ku band FTA. Also have a signal finder. For some reason I get only 58% of signal intensity and 0% of signal quality for Galaxy19. Do I need a bigger dish or some kind of signal amplifier? Thank you.

HI, this works with a 90 cm satellite Dish an LNB and that's it, this doesn't require internet because it is satellite.

Hi, yes it should work in all the Carribean countries, you need a 70 com dish and LNB /Galaxy 19) you can get this online or in your city

You'll get many more channels setting your frequency to universal 9750-10750, and not just 10750.

Hi Doug, thank you very much for the info. It all depends on Dishes and the kind of receivers we use. The dish size and the receiver we use is important as well. What I suggest first is to get the right dish and a modern receiver, then we will determine what frequency is better for that kind of receiver. Some receivers have the capacity to scan 100% of channels whereas others can give only 50 0r 60%. Old FTA receivers can still get some TV channels and Radio stations. @@Amzeeel I currently have an Openbox S9, (an older receiver) and did a blind scan both ways, one with 10750 only selected, which netted me 140+- channels, then I switched to 9750-10750, and picked up 220 channels. I have a new receiver coming, (GTMedia V8 pro2) since I want to upgrade, but the Openbox S9 has been great! I have a 108cm H to H dish.

@@Amzeeel Hey no problem! I actually ran outside and measured it, LOL! I couldn't remember the size. I've had it for several years. I'll give you an update, when I get my new receiver, and get it up and running ((GTMedia V8 pro2). It was rated best, from a group of FTA receivers, so we will see. However, the OpenBox S9, has been a good receiver, but a bit out of date. Hey, we all need a new toy once in a while! Also, I have a 10' Paraclipse dish, with a separate receiver, and a dish mover box, piggy backed to that, that I run digital C-Band on (FTA). Lots of channels there, as well!

Hi David, sorry for the late reply. there are a lot of home Satellite TV Receivers with DVR/Hard Drive Recorders. They are all the same system, it's just the model that's different and of course the price. Thanks

Unfortunately no, Bell and other smaller dishes won't work for FTA. You will get other encrypted stuff using that dish, but not Galaxy 19

Hi tyrelli, not on Galaxy 19. The channels you mentioned have moved to subscription satellite and to Smart TV. If you are lucky and if you get an antenna, you can tune in to local broadcasts channels, such as ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC, as well as PBS and Telemundo. It's free. If you can afford an outdoor antenna between 70 to 150 miles, you will surely get some channels. Thank you

Hi c ben Al cazar, I guess you are looking for a (Rocketfish 3-Way Coaxial Splitter ), look that up in Google to see what it looks like. you can get one for just $2 or less. That you can connect to the receiver and get different cables for your rooms. It depends how many rooms you have. If you have 10 rooms, then u will need a Rocketfish 10-Way Coaxial Splitter, etc.., hope this answered your question if I undertsood. Just 1 receiver and multiple cables to connect to the Rocketfish . Thanks

Hi, all these US channels were available in Galaxy 19 until 2010 - 11 then everything was transferred to Smart or Cable. Only some US religious church channels are now available.

Hi, I think it will, Jamaica is in the carribean zone. This works in United States, Canada, Mexico, Caribbean & Greenland. You need a meter because it's hard to get the signal.

Hi, Galaxy 19 is not available in India, but there other FTA satellite channels where you can find a lot of FTA channels from your country. There are a lot of them. I can't recommend any website in particular but there are a lot online, all you need is dish, LNB and a good signal.

Hi Sandy, only Galaxy 19 broadcasts some Arabic channels In Canada, USA, Mexico and the Caribbean. There were a lot of them in the past in that Satellite (Galaxy 19 ) but they are all gone now to Smart TV. If there is any update, I will share it with you. Thanks

Hi, no Galaxy 19 is not available in Africa, there is special satellites for Nigeria. You will be able to get more info online. Galaxy 19 works only in North America

DirecTV dish won't work for free FTA, you need a 36'' inch Dish minimum to get these channels. You can google the measures to see the dish. One of my videos is showing my own dish (90 cm or 36 inch), thanks. Other smaller dishes will pick up encrypted signals for other satellites, but not for FTA

My dish is 4ft, approximately 50 inches. About 10 years ago I used it with a pansat FTA receiver and I was able to receive some FTA channels. I can't remember what satellite I had it pointed at though.

@@thebigmann81, I had a 6 foot dish at one time and it worked quite well. I suppose it depends on the satellite you are trying to get. Some guys here had 8 and 12 foot dish and they were able to receive satellites that I could not.

Hi, if you still have your old Dish and receiver, you can just try to reset your receiver to factory and restart searching for channels. If you don't have a dish anymore or a receiver, you can get one in your area or online. Galaxy 19 still works and has plenty of channels

Did you check the signal. Check the signal, even a rusted dish will still work. Wind can change the position of the signal. You might need a meter to check the signal or get someone help you

Hi Jorge, if you live in USA or Canada, there is only one portuguese channel in Galaxy 19 for free (RTP Internacional America ) and some latin spanish. Some providers provide Brasilian channels but not for free. RTP Internacional America is the only portuguese one that is free. If I have a new update I will tell u, thanks
