How to program key on Honda accord 2008 ? 

Need a scanner to programm the chip other wise only lock and unlock will work.

Same happened to me... got new key cutout but it wouldn't start car. Ended up paying locksmith $150 to get it programmed :/ Did you get it fixed?

if you have the old KEY just the metal part.... there is a chip in that!!! use the chip from the new fob but put the old key with it and just program the fob and the car will start

U need ur immobilizer programmed

Get in car make sure all doors are closed & unlocked Put the key in the ignition and put the car in accessory mode then hit unlock button on key.... repeat 4x you’ll hear the doors try to unlock when it’s re programmed.

How can you do this with a key without a remote ?

You need to take out old transponder chip from old control, which is soldered onto the old board.
