These seem very useful. We dont have these to my knowledge here in the uk. Would be useful in particular in the event of flood warnings which seem to be more and more frequent as the years go on...

So I tell as many people as I can this when programming. I’ve been chasing 17yrs now I guess all of 2011 season have lots of tornadoes under my belt. But in 2004 a tornado comes within 0.3mi of my house. My parents have a very nice underground shelter in the back yard. I only had one county set and wasn’t paying attention. The first indication I had was baseball sized hail coming down. The tornado was on its heels by 30 seconds it had wrapped on up tight to the hail core. So I’m in the situation of having a underground shelter but I know the hail is too big to survive 100%. So I had to ride it out inside. Multiple buildings were wiped off of our farm. It was strong F-4 damage. Transmission towers rated for 185mph were ripped apart. So I always tell people even if you are a weather freak you can have it sneak up on you where you just were not in the mood that day and you can have a shelter but you always need to consider the hail might be too big to make it.

If the tone is set as the alert type will the radio do the broadcast longer until you don’t want to hear it anymore?

Okay so my batteries went dead in my weather radio for the first time and I had everything set and fixed do I have to re set the location and the radio being silenced and stuff? Cuz I only had to fix the time is all. And this video helped me when I first got it cuz I’m not the best at following directions lol. But I did keep the box I think not sure if my mom threw it out and it does have its power cord clearly lol just got new batteries incase we lose power this winter cause where we live the snow gets bad in southern ohio. I wish we still lived in South Carolina where we are from cause it snows once every 5-10 years there lol but the weather does get bad down there not snowy bad but bad.

Are you supposed to be able to hear weather at any time by hitting the weather button or only during alert broadcasts? For me the button does nothing even after looking up my local tower frequency.

Can you make one of these silent? Like to where it won’t go off and make that noise? Because it went off today for a flash flood alert scared the living crap out of me.And I was dead asleep. I still would like it to go off but I don’t want it to be so loud that it scares me into almost a heart attack. LOL

FYI - to DELETE a location use right arrow and reset all digits to 000000.

How do you check to see if you programed the right state and county after having set it as you showed?

I just got one of these WR120EZ. First how do I delete a location setting I previously installed? After installing a location setting how can I check to see if it is there or do I have to wait for a storm? Also how to completely reset the radio and start over. Thanks..Arnie

what is this model number? Most I have seen you need the frequency code for your county on a WR120.

There is something wrong with mine it keeps beeping every 5 or 10 minutes one time then again 5 or 10 minutes later and all the lights are blinking the warning, the watch, and the advisory what's happening and how to fix it

I just finished programming my weather radio. When I went in to select events there wasn't a Tornado Warning. Just a Tornado Watch. How do I get the Warning?

so i just came from your tablet cleaning video and i was wondering if you ever learned how to say 'et cetera' right

Guzzles batteries. Difficult to program. Have to totally reprogram everything at every use. Expensive. Loved the old days when you bought a radio, turned it on, punched alert and DONE.

I think my radio is defective because the instructions you give in this video are off. Maybe what I need to see is how to start over setting the Midland after you have made a cross country move. Is there a reset button on this thing? Probably not, but no matter if it is on mulitple, any, or single NOTHING happens on this thing. It is a piece of junk.

You lost me on multiple locations by having several already in and just doing one. How do you remove a county. Good video up to then. Assume people know NOTHING! Go slow and show every step!
