We are looking to collab with an artist in the future to really understand this. I've (personally) worked with paid advertising for some huge campaigns and seen it work, but I'm genuinely intrigued as to whether it *really* works for artists. @@_iMusician_ I'm finished with my campaigns and I must say that I'm a bit dissapointed. I got about 75000 views, 300 new subscribers and over 1000 hours watchtime. I got very few comments. I didn't reached my goal to get into youtube partner program, because all views depending on ads will not count for the 4000h wtachtime needed for getting into the YT partner program. I think if I would have known this, I wouldn't have done it. The google ads support hasn't told me that, when I described them my plan to reach the requirement for YT partner program, instead they encouraged me to start my campaigns for that purpose.
@@_iMusician_ And you could add to your tutorial that it is very advisable to deliver ads not on smartphones, only on tablets, tvs and computers, the playtime of the videos from that devices is a lot longer than on samrtphones, also full views of the videos increase by factor 10 or more.

hi i'd want to access earn metrics to see which ads capain brought the most subscribers to know my audience but i cant find the earned metrics in google ads .can you help me please i got so much songs to release but i know if it dosent go to the right persons its a waste
Thank you! :) Not really. By default, mid-rolls will be placed at so to say "natural breakpoints to balance the viewer experience and creator revenue". You can only manage mid-roll ads by defaul once the video is longer than 8 minutes.

Since this video Google Ads has changed the step after selecting "Video." It now requires selection of ""Get Views," "Efficient Reach," "Target Frequency," "Non-skippable in-stream," "Drive Conversions," " Ad Sequence," and "Audio." Any advice on which is best to select?
We probably need an update since Google Ads did their own update - For me, I'd almost always go for "Drive Conversions", but to do this you'd need to have a "conversion tag" firing. If you're promoting a video on RU-vid this is not always possible so.... After that I would go for "Efficient Reach" Come have a chat on community.imusician.pro and we can go into more detail -SG

I set my video to be published in few weeks, but when I try to paste the link of the video in the "create your video ad" it doesnt seem to find it (I also tried publishing it privetly now to check if it will work but it still doesnt find it). Help please:)
Hey Michelle - great question! I understand the desire to create an add for your video prior to the release date but unfortunately you will only be able to finish creating your video ad once your video is released / set to 'Public'. That said, you can set up all of your Campaign Settings prior to the release date and save it as a draft so that all you need to do on release day is update the video link and finish your Ad + Ad Group Settings. Hey man I ran a campaign with google ads and I tried running different methods To gain engagement and everytime I get over 10k views or any high numbers I never get a single like or comment I tried making a creative single cover for my song so it stands out but still doesn’t give any engagement whatsoever if u can help me with this i would appreciate it

Hey Monzy, one of our Community Members (A2D) wrote a great post here: community.imusician.pro/t/how-to-promote-music-without-spending-lots-of-money/1338/3 His main recommendation was to focus on Instagram at the moment, and only use RU-vid if you have a video to go with the song. There are plenty more recommendations on the community. From what we see - basically accept that this will be hard work, but continually releasing (e.g. 1x single per week / month) and keep growing your fanbase with each track over 1x year is the best way to start... and focussing on doing less... e.g. don't do every social channel, pick one and stick to it! I have been searching the internet for days and can't find any guidance on what to use for the actual ad copy for skippable in steam ads... question: do you recommend we use the actual music video for the ad? Or do you suggest we create and upload separate short video clips using the most engaging clips & song section to use as the ad? please help, thanks!!! 🙏

It depends on the settings of your campaign but if you chose Pay Per View (PPV), yes you'll pay when and only when a user views the video (not the ad), so when they click on the ad and watch the video :)
10:46 Thanks for this nice tutorial! It doesn't show me available estimated performance when I enter an amount though. It says that it isnt available in campaigns including similar videos. 🤔
