I recently came to live in Australia from SA and have bouts of homesickness. Trying to find how-to propagate rocket. What a wonderful surprise to hear the "ou" accent again! What,a blesing! Thank you for your very encouraging lesson..
You have to love ons Afrikaans accent 😂 cloning works well, but I realised after it goes to seed once the seed is so plentiful that it self seeds so well that It is growing everywhere now without me doing anything. I'm even pulling them now like weeding 😂
Can u please show on how to propagate rocket plant using cuttings & not from the branch of roots?? Can I use stems from from supermarket sold for kitchen usage??
Yes that is correct. So I do know for a fact by growwing it that it is arugela/rocket, and this cultivar is perenial. It also has yellow flowers that are edible sweet with a hint of rocket taste. I just call it wild rocket. Sowed it once and it sell seeds so prefucely that in the last 2 years I never planted again. I just always have now.
It will depend on what stage of the seeding process we are at. Is it just starting to go into flowering, or has the flower stalks already became stiff.
@@ProjectHomeGrown I’ll answer for that person ☺️ Mine’s flowers are on stiff stalks..but it’sg still giving me yummy outer leaves, just not as plentiful as before flowering. Will it still grow from separations I make? Thank you for this informative video!
