Just a suggestion but I find that making a few cuts down the length of the trunk one inch from the bottom gives me better results. 3 or 4 verticals slices with a razor will do, not too deep. Just enough to go into the cambium layer.
hey real life frutopia i have just realised that all oscmotte products contain chemical slow release fertalizers aparently that can harm your soil and contain micro plastics im very disapointed as it says osmotte plus organics on the soil bag :( i hope all my tree arent destroyed and i hope the stuff that is already in the ground doesnt dstroy my living soil i worked on. if you have any to=ips please let me know thansk
@@RealLifeFruitopia its in most of my potted plants should i repot them all and what should i do with the old soil? or will it not make too much damage on my soil?
I'll be very interesting to see how these go, I only took a guava cutting once and needless to say it didnt root. It appeals to me that you've taken them very 'casually', you don't seem to have trimmed them at the base exactly below a leaf node and you haven't removed any bark at the base of the cuttings, this looks like the traditional way of taking cuttings....
Thank you sharing propagation techniques, please show us how to do air-layering with fruit trees. I tired in Melbourne but doesn't work. Please teach us. 🙏🙏🙏
For my needs, air layering isn't required as I find cuttings are quicker and easier. If I was a business then I could air layer larger branches for higher returns. Some day I might try it just for fun.
@@RealLifeFruitopia if no corona restrictions i would have loved to get one of your pink guava cuttings. I have put my pink guava to ground a week ago.
