I love your videos. Do keep making them. They are very informative, short and to the point. They don’t waste my time with unnecessary things. Thank you so much. The two plants that I wanted to propagate are the two you have covered!! Lavender and hydrangeas ! Thanks again for the great information.
So grateful to you, Anya! This is my first year growing lavender and your videos on all platforms are super informative and positive. Good luck to your channel!

I follow your IG and happy to see more detailed content on this platform. Can you point me to the video of next steps, please? I’m not clear as to if they need to go into pots to continue to grow bigger before they go into the ground. I’ve spent hundreds buying plants that haven’t survived! Happy and excited to try propagating them! Thank you!
Oh lovely. I usually pot my seedlings up and grow them for up to 6 months in pots before planting them in their final destination. I should create a video about it. I have been so busy writing my book and now the book is done and I'll have more time for creating more videos.
This is so helpful Anya- I follow you on Instagram but still hadn’t realised exactly which potting compost to use- hoping this new knowledge will make all the difference x Now to get cutting 🤞
Hi, I just found this video. You make this sound so easy 😊 I live in Toronto Canada 🇨🇦.. We can get some nasty winter weather 🥶🥶🌧🌨❄️⛄️☃️ In June, I bought 4 - 2" Spanish Lavender plants. This is my first time growing Lavender. They are in 7" fabric bags now . Being so young they didn't flower this summer. Half of Google, Half of RU-vid videos say .. Lavender can be inside house plants.. Or they have to go into dormancy in the winter Cover them up.. My question about the plants is.. So, Now it's getting chilly out . I have a room attached to the side of my house. It's all windows. It's not insulated. But it would keep the nasty freezing rain & snow off them. I was thinking of putting the plants & bags in a bin, filling it up with leaves & grass , that would keep them warm ? Or could I bring them inside, put them on a window cell ? Question about the cuttings is .. I want to get cuttings from them just incase... This video was amazing. I like how you just snapped the little branches off. No need for any tools. You gave me so much hope when you said It's not to late to take cuttings. That makes so much sense. But I cant put the cuttings outside in the shade to root. If I do , what you did, But put the cuttings on the window cell , or under very dim lights for 6 or 7 hours a day , for the winter Do you think the cuttings would be ok ? Or is it to warm in the house this time of year? The only thing you didn't talk about was How to care for Lavender in colder temperatures.. All this confusion over a plant 😂😅😂😅😂 I really hope you could give me some advice. I'll take Any thoughts you have . I'm going to watch your next video now 😊 Cheers from Canada
Love the detailed information- it is so great to get more knowledge in combo with your popular short videos 😊🌱. I have a question for you. As I live in Sweden where the winters can be very cold and irregular (cold+snow mixed with warmer periods) I have the issue of how to get my cuttings to survive the winter. What do you think I should do to protect them? (Both the hardwood, semihardwood and softwood cuttings taken over the year of different plants). Thanks again Anya for all of your content❤
Awwww thank you so much! I’m only just starting here on RU-vid and I’m sure the quality of my videos will improve. I’m so glad to hear that they are useful. Propagation is so uplifting and rewarding! Great to hear that you are also enjoying it! Keep propagating! 💚🧚🏻🤗
I just found you from Gardeners World - I watch in the US. I’m so happy! Buying your book right away! I love my lavender but it’s getting so leggy, and it’s become this enormous shrub with big holes from the weight of the branches. My question is, does lavender have an expiration date? Is it time to take cuttings and say goodbye this autumn?
Hi Anya, I'm one of your followers on instagram, very glad to find you here in a more extensive video format. As you said the one you used in the video was a pre-made compost, could you, please, give the proportions of the ingredients, if we were to do it ourselves? Also, can we use vermicompost for the compost fraction and to it add sand and grit or is the vermicompost too rich in nutrients even when added in a small percentage? And, as for the horticultural grit, can we use pumice in place of that? Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and experience.
Hello! Thank you for this concise video! Just one question, do you place the cuttings in the sun after potting or leave in the shade? Thank you so much, just subscribed 🌼⭐️
My pleasure. I water initially when I take my cuttings in late summer or early spring and because they are outside, I just let the rain water them. They need a bit of moistrure, but make sure they don't stand in water.
