I've never used one of these. It helps to see what works for you, so thanks. I always like see where I'm going virtually if I've never been to a place before. You actually helped me quite a bit. The manual for my Walgreen's humidifier says to only use the same water- distilled or filtered, preferably- as used in operation for cleaning. Your video here is consistent with what the manual tells me, provided your local tap water isn't hard. As I understand, distilling will tell you if you have hard water. The minerals will collect at the bottom. So long as the container is transparent, should be easy to see there. I discovered this one day because I always keep drinking water by my bed at night. One night was all it took, although the internet says 45 minutes of sitting distills. That's not enough to collect visible sediment. Edit: Now that I've done it for myself, I have to say the video is telling me to drain the base the wrong way. There is a message printed in red where the brush is saying to pour on that side. My only question: do I have to dry the nebulizer, after they took such care to say to never touch it with my fingers? Honestly, the whole deal scares me. There are parts I can't get to in order to dry thoroughly, and bubbles started coming from the nebulizer before I could even get the tank situated all the way. I think I'll give it a couple of days to dry out before starting it up for the first time. Same as if I got my laptop wet.
ummm you probably should have used a few drops of vinegar to clean and to add to the new water which should be filtered water. this video is incomplete
If you think it's incomplete why don't you make a video on it. i think it's just fine. these people were nice enough to make a video on it to help us people who don't know how to clean it. I am very thankful for this video.
My manual says clean, filtered, or distilled. They are worried about hard water. Distill a clear glass of water overnight. If you can see sediment in the bottom of the glass the next morning, your tap water is hard. If not, it should be fine to use.
A real POS who would build a piece of junk that won't sit on it's own while you fill it. Filling it is a pain. Trying to hold it and fill and spill water every where.
It appears, you are too simple to use this machine, its too complex for you, I suggest a swamp cooler for your purposes, the one rated for 3+ age certified safety.
I place the empty "water chamber" (... don't know what else to call it) upside down in a mixing bowl, to steady it, while I pour water into it.... that seems to work well. Other than that, I really like this machine!
