Thank you so much for this video. I have been out of Achilles tendon surgery for a few hours and was wondering how to ice it through the splint and bandage. I didn’t know about behind the knee. Such valuable information.
Thank you! I just had a bunion and bunionett removed.( yes there is such a thing as a bunionett, NOT at all as cute as it sounds!!) I was wondering how the coldness would ever get to the foot, I have it placed better now! Thank you!!!
Great info! I had been doing it wrong 18 years ago by putting three ice bags on my case. Now that I had the screws removed, I’ll be able to do it correctly.
Just had foot surgery and having a lot of trouble icing. Thanks for answering both how and why we ice this way. Sidenote: So no one is going to mention how much of a cutie pututie, Dr. Stienke is. 😍
I have screws in my leg for about 2-3 years now and just yesterday I was playing basketball where I landed wrong and it hurt to the point where I can’t bend my leg fully I don’t have what to do
Just had a 3rd and final super surgery on my foot and ankle. I’m just curious how does icing behind the knee help down there?..does the blood get cold or something?
I found it impossible to ice my achilles tendon after surgery because the boot is so thick and stiff. You'll never feel the ice. It will have no impact. Yet, they told me to ice. Lol, how?
