thanks, now im gettin into beta 1.7.3 once again. Eventhough my first minecraft experience were the version right after it - 1.8.0, I still consider that beta as own nostalgia. Door sound and world generation really hits the spot.

This works! Just make sure you use the right Java version! Like I did, it took me a good 10 minutes but I got to work.

my best guess as to why pepper's video was being removed for "dangerous information" was due to the advice of downloading older java versions. as far as i know, that's essentially installing an RCE on your system. maybe that's changed now but that's my first thought.

Hello, when downloading version 8 of java on the oracle page 86x means 32 bits, right? or 64x is 32 bits and 86x is 64 bits?

A question seperate from the video's topic, ever made a memory hole in your minecraft world? Like a sort of old half remembered memory in your head of one of your worlds and you make it in like a well or a pit in near your base?

i will try this to see if it makes my game stop crashing (i was playing with just multimc before, since sound didn’t work on the vanilla launcher for me at all but does on multimc)

Hey, I have a really big problem. When I first installed MultiMC and started playing on the version you recommended, everything was fine, but over time errors began to appear, more and more often. They looked like this: for a few seconds or less I started seeing through the ground and walls, I saw caves, lava pools and mobs completely randomly (It looks a bit like xray). But at some point the game froze completely, and I couldn't see anything except caves or mobs. This effect repeats itself over and over again and makes playing the game much more difficult or impossible. I know you recorded this video 2 months ago, but I would be very grateful if someone tried to help.🙏🙏

This worked very well but every time I play a world for a bit the chunks start becoming invisible and it freezes. I’ve tried both MultimeMc and Betacraft but it’s the same.

Can you play the Beta versions properly with an AMD graphics card? Because my graphics card makes weird noises when i play the beta, sometimes the game even froze in the past.

Hey, I got it installed and running, but I think I did something wrong cuz there's some sort of abandoned village structure in my world, which I don't think was in this version? Did I install the wrong one or something? It says 1.7.3 on the menu but idk /j

Hi, I'm having an annoying problem. When I run it through Betacraft, the launcher simply closes and nothing happens. And in Multimc, a black screen appears for a second and a half and it closes and gives an error log. I use Windows 64, do you know how I can solve this? Sorry if you already explained this problem in the video and I didn't pay attention.

I’d love to play older versions but it literally doesn’t matter what I do.. whether it’s the regular Minecraft launcher, MultiMC, or BetaCraft every single time I play my whole desktop will randomly freeze and I have to completely shut off my pc and turn it back on. The last time it did that it completely deleted my world. I’ve tried it all and I’m stumped on how everyone is playing these versions. I followed this tutorial to an absolute T and I still get the same issue over and over again.

I dont know how I can explain, but after login in beta minecraft with multimc my account received a new uuid, making me have 2 profile in mcskin and lost all my itens, so be careful guys.

For the life of me, I can’t f***ing find the Java.exe.. I am on Mac and it didn’t let me choose where to save it and I can’t find it through the finder.. anybody got some tips?? I have java and beta craft installed but everytime I go to load the java exe file in the edit instance it keeps telling me that it is an invalid Java path and will not load the game whenever I click play any suggestions?

For some reason I am able to play via betacraft without messing around with Java 8. No idea if it is works for multiplayer though.
