As a german law enforcement Lieutenant I am using the mp5 since the early 2000 on patrol. I fully agree to not always engage the safety during a hot search mission or active shooter scenario. Thank you for sharing. And please keep on providing this content. Greetings from Germany .308 wadcutter
refreshing to see this perspective - everyone wants to play by AR-15 rules... but these tools do not allow AR-15 manipulation. Thanks for sharing this.
I have a pdw carbine pistol conversion kit, and im learning how to properly hold it, walk with it, carry it, and be safe with it. I couldnt find any on pdw kits, so here i am watching mp5 videos. This helped. Thanks
Funny you say that. Andy (instructor in the video) often talks about how it used to be that way and things have changed over the last few decades to the safety being operated constantly. This is the standard in terms of teaching but as you mentioned, the environment may dictate otherwise.
My safety is keeping my finger OFF the trigger until I'm ready to fire. ANY application of manual safety in between movements is a 100% surefire chance that the safety's on J U S T as an unexpected thing happens and I need to fire.
