Holly Molly. I spent last 2 weeks trying to work out why my footage has turned to HDR but never does on RU-vid. The last method work. My pocket 3 camera footage now looks amazing. Gonna thank you for the rest of my life now 🎉
Hello, I have some questions and remarks. First you say, that if the primaries are Rec709 it is Log footage (MediaInfo). Yes if it is, but normally it IS Rec709. I see Prores, so it is Log footage as aspect in your case. Than you set by Color Management HDR Rec2020 Intermediate, why not HDR Davinci Wide Gamut Intermediate. This can also done for HDR footage. It's a choice, whether use HDR Rec2020 HLG or the wider DR Gamut. Last point and many are translate HLG to PQ. It is better not to do and stay in the HDR in which it is recorded, but certainly, it can be done, but not preferable. Further good tutorial and can help many users.
Can i use HLG from my Lumix G9 and then normal Pocket 2 footage and use these settings? Just looked and I guess i can't so this unless I have resolve studio version
