that's EXACTLY what i'm thinking. i was thinking about getting one but with that stipulation i think i'm changing my mind. seems like it'll be more of a headache than it's worth
If it gets driven daily probably not worth it, might be better investment to get a canopy type cover. If you have multiple cars and cars doesn't get driven a week or 2 at times then it's definitely worth it if there's no garage.
Fuck i read this before I watched it and when I started watching it all I could hear was “CAR COVER” I had to stop watching it cause I was taking in anything he was saying but “car cover” absolute crack up 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
This process is perfect! Exactly what you need to do. Now I'd definitely use one. If only I didn't have to use the car every other day. Taking it off and on and wiping it before everytime would not be realistic.
Thanks man great production quality. Just got a custom cover for my BMW and took 10min to put on for the first time and ended up dragging it all over...
How do I remove the car cover when there is lost of dust accumulated on it? Without touching the dirt on the cover to the car or myself? You also need to show us how to wash the dirty car cover?
My vehicle stands in the open. No garage or carport. Feel so much better covering it against endless rains, boiling heat and dust n tree foliage... A meaningful video
Best advice for beginners would be, you should as soon as possible put the side mirror parts on, because if there is even some light wind it's the only thing that will prevent your cover from flying away, before you fix it to the wheels. Also a very strong wind can destroy even the best cover, so if there is a strong storm coming you should consider to remove the cover. I know this cause my cover was destroyed by a storm yesterday :)
is it better then to let the damage be to the cover and not the car, or do you feel the car could weather the storm unscathed, thus not wasting your car cover
@@DeadChocobo Strong wind can not really damage your car but can easily tear your cover apart, especially a cheap one. So sometimes it's better to remove the cover for a day or two.
This is exactly the way I have put my car cover on my sports car for. But now I have a medium sized pickup and the same technique doesn't work. I cant reach rhe top of the cab.
The problem is, with the summer heat you need to put the car cover on every day your car sits in the sun. It is impossible to wash my car daily as I don't have the time. I gave up on the daily wash years ago and now use the cover daily when my car is parked at work. I have not noticed any damage to my car since I have been doing this for the last 5 years. The cooler car and less UV ray damage is well worth the chance of any paint damage.
I know this is a older video but maybe you or someone can answer this question. I use a cover for my truck and I am out in Hot Arizona sun where the temps get above 100 deg. I crack open my windows to try to let excess heat out with the cover on. Is that ok or not?
I either need to be taller or buy a ladder to install any car cover on my Yukon Denali w/28in rims. I can’t just roll it on or off, I’m too short for that shit. lol 😆
Plus... Never place a car cover on a wet or even damp car. I usually wash it, wipe it with the proper microfibers cloths and let it sit on the garage for 24h so that all remaining moisture evaporates. Next day I place the cover. The amount of dust it collects on a "normal" garage in 24h is negligible and like this I ensure no moisture is caught between the car and the cover. Another thing. I'd definitely use the carry bag after removing the cover and not place it directly on the trunk. Because removing the cover this way will turn the "inside" of it towards the "outside", thus that'll be what will be in contact with the car trunk, which always has some dirt, dust, etc which then will be transferred to your car so I'd fold it like he said but store it inside the carry bag, which is much cleaner then the trunk and then place the bag in the trunk.
JULIO AVILES nope, Greg left chemical guys and started Mastersons, but it’s seems the same lol, even down to the bottle and labeling. And it’s says Mastersons started In 1947 lol what?
I use my car daily. Its parked outside. I live in Wasington Stare, where it rains almost every day. Car cover is useless here. Car is always wet and dirty because of the rain. Can't dry it when its raining.
Wow living somewhere where there’s no wind makes putting the cover on easy. My cover always balloons when I’m trying to put it on or when it’s on in general
Man, I have a serious question, I bought an expensive car 50k Corvette brand new. But... I think people will actually try and damage out of jealousy I know I might sound crazy but my best friend got his car and they made a dent in it. What do you suggest I should do?
People will be jumping on that thing all the time. Those cars get a lot of attention and also are a pain in the ass to maintain & drive. "Watch the curve", "forget that steep driveway!" And even valet parking didnt help much. Always ended up finding a girl with her ass on the hood taking pictures on it. Best thing i did was getting rid of the vet. I MISS THE SHIT OUT OF IT!, but i dont miss the hassle.
Wait so how can Mastersons be around since 1947 when Greg worked for Chemical guys and left around the 2000’s? Weird. And the branding and bottle looks so much like the chemical guys bottle and branding
i finally used a car cover i had in my trunk for 6 months. landscaper blew grass and leaves into it and when i took it off it was all in the inside around the edges. i now have to take it my work wherehouse to open it up and vacuum the inside before i can use it again. cant do it on the lawn or driveway or it will just get more dirt, grass, and leaves on it. even though it's my weekender bmw, i had to jump in my work van all week when i wanted to get dinner after work because i didn't want to take it off. plus side was it prevented about 30 bird dots. not sure if it's worth all the trouble.
Do you think I should use one for my car that is in an apartment parking lot (outdoors) because lawn people come by randomly once a month and I get grass, etc all over the sides of my car. And it's a brand new 2020 Rav4. I bought a $34 car cover off eBay, but am hesitant to break it open and use it.
if they are edging near your car do it. i have a chip in my windshield from my landscaper throwing a rock into it. if its just dust and grass from a leaf blower that's really identical from wind doing the same and i wouldn't bother. if you have black paint, it will scratch it. i guarantee a $34 car cover will be made of a material that scratches. only custom fit felt lined car covers don't scratch. a car cover that's to big will shift and move in the wind scratching away at the paint. you don't even want to know what a custom fit car cover costs.
Hey Man, thanks for showing this way of using the cover, i do it every day and it takes me like 60 seconds or something to cover or uncover the car very easily
I'm not a fan of how people call cars and car related products an investment. Lets face reality here folks, unless you have a rare car that is increasing in value, or your business depends on having a brand new spiffy car, most cars will not be an investment, most are a liability. A liability that we willingly take on because they look damn cool, but a liability non the less.
