I have to disagree with Kyle’s comment about PPF not making it look better. I got the matt finish on on the Launch Green and I think it looks closer to the original vision Rivian had for the color on their website. With the burly 20’ ATV tires the removal of the “shiny” makes it more rugged. Now if you went with a ore “city color” like Rivian Blue or the white and street tires, then matt might not be the best option. The gloss would make those combinations more appropriate.

Great Video. I hope you can answer a question on cleaning of the Rivian truck tailgate area . I was planning on buying a used R1T with ~3K in mileage. I noticed in opening the the tailgate, lots of dirt, leaves, and other debris down by the electrical section in the bottom of the Truck. How do you clean this section out from the debris? There was also a great delal of debris in the spare tire well. I was quite surprised by this quantity. The spare tie well I assume could be easily vaccumed. But getting even a small a vacuum hose in the Tailgate section and not plugging the hose up seems a challenge. Thank you in advance. Keep the videos coming

Awesome video! Question for those living in harsh winter conditions: If I install PPF and ceramic coating, I'm not supposed to go to a car wash, hence this great video, how am I supposed to wash the undercarriage if the car?

I am interested in the Goizper Group iK Multi Pro 12 Sprayer. My question is it comes in one 1/2 the size and was wondering if that would be adequate for just doing rims/tires and spraying on bug remover. If you know anything about it would you recommend just for my application. I am have another sprayer for applying the car soap.

Heavy waxing has helped mine not get as dirty. The easily dented bodywork is another dilemma. I noticed on mine it is easily dented and scratches show up easier than it should 😮

I can't wait to get my Rivian. I will get absolutely zero protection, no PPF, no ceramic. Beat it Offroad, and drive it through cheap automatic carwashes every 3-6 months. Then I'll take it to Rivian car meets to drive all the OCD detailing people crazy 🤣

I dont fully understand the benefit of ppf, if i scratch the ppf i got a scratch on the truck how is that any different then if i scratch the clear coat or paint. At the end of the day i still got a scratch that has to get fixed.

What is the base? Ceramic coated or waxed?

Did you guys say simple green to spray the fender wells with?

I took mine on a OHV trail here locally in NC after about a month of owning back in November and got some bad scratches on rims and a couple of chunks taken out of my 21” road tires 😢 maybe Rivian will include a rim touch up paint soon. 👍

If I took that much time with a maintenance wash I would never drive my car again.
