SKS Props glad i can help however i can my friend! Professional raw foam sculpting builds is something rather rare in youtube IMO, so it needs all the support possible in exchange of this level of quality! p.s i 've gotten to know you from your orc build. now i found your youtube channel thanks to your post in Facebook's 'evil ted foam fanatics' group 😉

Thanks I really need something to replace the sword I’m holding in my profile picture the tip is bent and the handle broke off so I’ll take this into consideration

Question-You suggest a thick superglue, and accelerating the cure. Wouldn’t thinner superglue be better, and _not_ speeding up the curing, as that would (I should think) absorb better and deeper into the foam? (Something like resin-stabilized wood.)
@SKSProps
@SKSProps 6 лет назад
Joel C. Salomon never tried because I always have a ton of the thicker on hand try it out and let me know :)

I would use this on any part that protrudes enough without the inner rod

What if the sword is already finished? Is there anything I can do to protect a finished tip?
@SKSProps
@SKSProps 6 лет назад
Star Phoenix you could clear coat it with several light coats of clear resin

Could I do this with contact cement?
@SKSProps
@SKSProps Год назад
The reason super glue works is because you can add an activator to it to harden the surface, contact cement wont do that

Would this technique work on foam clay or not since it isn't as porous? I'm making tips for a sword pommel and don't want them to bend.
@SKSProps
@SKSProps 5 лет назад
Mike M I think Plasti dip or creature cast would be a better option I don’t think the superglue would soak in as well
