Great video man, very informative. I'm from ND, planning a trip to Oregon for sturgeon and now hoping to spend a day shore/pier fishing Puget Sound towards the end of June/beginning of July. Hoping you might know what species are biting that time of year and any good areas to fish from shore or a pier, any help would be appreciated!
I am going to try the edmonds pier for the first time this weekend. I am from out of state. weather looks brutal, but worth a shot. Your video was great. I noted that it is better to case toward the rock wall from the pier. Very helpful. Do they allow two poles to be used? (one with live bait out there and one active pole with a lure?)
Thank you for the support and questions. You can absolutely fish it for perch and other bottom fish. Even cast for salmon. But unfortunately lingcod is closed at this time till May. I would recommend looking at the local fishing regs as there are saltwater specifics for the pier to keep in mind. No two poles in the salt unfortunately

Are you referring to off a beach? The techniques I described in this video are also very effective from the beaches as well. The biggest thing about lingcod is finding structure. When you find that you will find the lings!
+Aviv Pinker The Edmonds and Mukilteo piers are a good place to start near the beginning of the seasons in the north puget sound. Down in seattle there are a lot of piers that have lingcod to catch. As far as jetties, westport and the coastal area of WA has a lot of Jetties that you can walk out on and fish. I personally have not gone there yet, but I know a few of my buddies that do well.
