Awesome video. Keep up the great work. I've been running a motor grader for 24 years now and I gotta say you're a natural with your technique. I've got something for you to try and make another video with a trick to using the saddle pin and moving the blade without scarring the ground while doing it. take the blade to the left just like you've done on this video, then move your side shift ram all the way to the left as well. I believe that's what the ram is called directly under the pin holes. then put the rams in float and unlock the saddle pin. Then move the side shift ram to the right keep the up down rams in float. you'll see that it moves the pin to the hole you desire with out scarring the ground. then do the opposite to put the blade back under the grader. I hope this makes sense. Its a trick I learned a couple years ago. It works great. Let me know if you have and questions.

Just started today running the new models. I was surprised at how fast i picked it up. I was thinking it would take me an hour to figure out everything but it came super quickly and now I don't know how I lived without it. Its so intuitive and easy to operate.

That’s very good to hear and yes it is surprisingly easy to figure out the joystick controls they made it very intuitive to learn thanks for watching if you have any questions ask away thanks for watching!

@@graderman140m what's the best technique for trying to create a road where its too muddy to even get close to the edge because you will get stuck. And it has a fence on the right side. I don't even think it can be done until it dried out for a couple days or just get a dozer to do it. It personally don't believe its the best tool for the job but its not up to me haha

When putting blade back in center position, center mowboard with sideshift under grader with blade in center of the lift arms , put both sides on float , pull pin to release blade and use the sideshift only to get blade to enter position. One side will float up , other side will float down ...

Most blade operator's these days don't even know a grader will do that I'm a old man now but I cut blue top for years back way back before Lazer good to see a true operator thanks for the video

Excellent video! I’ve said it once and Ill say it again - we could take away the center link pin and the articulation and there are some municipalities up this way that wouldn’t ever know it did t have those options. Two of the most under utilized features that a blade has had for years and some guys still never use them. We have trade machines come in with the center pin so seized that we need to use a hydraulic puller to get it out, and articulation cylinder bushings seized so bad that you almost can’t even articulate and if it does it’ll make you go deaf because of how loud they squeal. One of my biggest pet peeve’s is when these two don’t get used haha 😂

Thanks buddy and it always amazes me when I do my hands on training how many operators don’t know how to pull the pin or use there articulation I make it my goal to show everyone I train how to pull pin and use the articulation to there advantage

Im in the operators, I haven’t spent a lot of time around graders yet. What is the purpose of doing this? What scenario would this be beneficial?
@graderman140m
@graderman140m 2 года назад
@@OperatorZac there’s plenty of applications for pulling your center pin I pull it when I pull shoulders on my roads so I can keep the machine up on the road and cut the shoulder off also you can pull it while cutting steep back slopes also I pull it at the end of every day to clean all the lose dirt and debris off the top of the blade.

@@OperatorZac bringing the blade out like this can be beneficial for lots of reasons. Changing blades, cleaning the top of the mouldboard, or positioning the drawbar/circle/moldboard

I wish I'd seen your video before had to work on one. Unfortunately it's not a John Deere 770B. I've never ran one or worked on one until today. It would have been easier to pull the locking pin off with the saddle and moldboard out of the way. Had an issue finding the locking pin switch location, didn't have an operators manual or such for where the controls are and the knobs were worn smooth so alot of trial and error figuring out how to unlock the table and drop the locking pin so it could get welded. Not looking forward to reinstalling out in the back forty. But I did subscribe so I can answer any possible things like how operate some of the things nessary to maintain or possibly use it.

I did this today on a 140M2 and after I did it, grease was dripping from some yellow cylinder shaped thing near the slots on the underside of the circle. I saw that a grease line led to this cylinder. Any ideas what this was about?
@graderman140m
@graderman140m Год назад
Hmm I honestly have no idea there I know cat recommends you grease the circle drive gear on the circle is that where the grease is coming from?
@nathangarza4974
@nathangarza4974 Год назад
@@graderman140m I believe so. The grease was runny/thin and almost water like. Not thick like it usually is.

@@nathangarza4974 hopefully that greasy oil isn’t coming from your circle turn gear box i know the drain is on the bottom I’d inspect that make suer you don’t have a leak.
