I appreciate the time you take to show this! I'm wondering if you have run across any of the 3gens that have the dealer installed warranty replacement engine? I know visibly there no way to tell them apart though sometimes the dealer will put a sticker under the hood on lower driver's side that indicates the warranty work performed on the car. Thanks Nate
Any thoughts on the Prius C to gen 2 conversion? I finally got a low enough, Prius C engine assembly for under around 250. Around 160K miles and will most likely use gen 2 intake, delete EGR, gen 2 exhaust manifold, controlled electric water pump, drill out block for all eCVT mounting holes and I forget what else off hand. I do not need yet, so will work on slowly and try to detail concisely as I go. I have an 08 P0A92 with P0AA6 codes, so time for my first eCVT swap in the mean time. Would be nice if there was a way to repair the eCVT.
Great video. I thought you couldn't use the 4th Gen EGR cooler because it flowed too much or something...? How did that work for you? Which EGR valve did you use?
Thank you for this! Can 3rd gen coils, spark plugs, oil filter work on 4th gen? These i recently bought these before my engine started having headgasket issues
not 2b cocky or better - if u can get a 2020 2 wheel drive le- Im amazed that 65mpg isnt unusual on a reg basis compared to my 2004 44 mpg Plus it rides more like caddy so much less noise- I would have never bought it if the 04 didnt die/not worth fixing
@@leitberatch6160 i only know what ive done or have expierence with, I had a 2nd gen for years that averaged 40 This 2020 4th gen rides nicer/quiet & since i bought it it in march has averaged in the 60s mpg range which i never expected, its 2wd le w/lithium battery . Still hasnt dropped below 60mpg w/combined driving- PEACE MR
