Hey DFisk75! Great question! The kart stand is made by Stone Karting, and is more rare to see, but is great for this application. If you have more questions on kart stands, or getting ready for spring, reach out to us anytime!
Can you advise an estimate of the overall length and width dimensions (with wheels on) of your Kart? I understand each Kart is different, but just trying to get an idea of the overall size of a Kart. Thxs!
@matilda Vazquez thanks for commenting! With the wheels on, this kart in particular (and most full size karts) are about 55" in width and about 83" in length with all bodywork installed. That's a rough dimension. The thing I usually tell racers is imagine a big rectangular box that is 5' wide, 3' tall, and about 7' long, and that is the space a kart fully assembled takes up. I hope this is helpful!
Thanks i am in that position. I was wondering if theres another passenger would the kart stand be able to fit in the trunk too? Or what other ways can we fit the stand? And how long does it take you to disassemble/reassemble all of that once you get there?
Hi Spiralmunky - all good questions! The answer really is that it depends on the vehicle - a traditional passenger car likely won't work, but an SUV sometimes they have the cabin space to put the kart stand laying carefully on top of the kart - not always our first recommendation but it is possible. Disassembly time and re-assembly time various on person and their experience, but about 10 minutes to break it down to the point that it was in this video if all the tools are handy.
Hmm, I measured my spot and it's 43"w by 58"l. Not to try and find specs on the kart I am looking to buy. This gives me hope. How quickly can you get kart put back together?
Hi John! Thank you for your comment! Most karts can be re-assembled within 5-10 minutes with the right tools and everything organized. But, this can vary a little from racer to racer.
i have an suv and wanna make sure a kart could fit in my car before i buy one, so i was wondering if you knew how wide your trunk is so i know if a go kart could even fit in my trunk.
Hi Brandon! Great question. So, I don't know the exact dimensions on this SUV. However, the widest point on this particular go kart is 1040mm (the outer edge of the axle) when it is broken down like Tim shows you. So, I would budget for that being the widest point on the kart (1040mm is about 41"). Sometimes with SUV's you may ahve to twist the kart sideways when loading it in on smaller SUV's or hatchbacks. Let us know if this answers your question!
Hi Brandon! Sorry for our delay in response. The trunk here is about 44" wide, but keep in mind that the dimensions in your trunk will change due to the wheel wells and so on, so your maximum width needed can change a little with the profile of the kart. Hope this helps a little!
