NO, you can't play games off of Steam, Steam is a Windows based software program. For all those who tried to get this working, what the person who did this video did not tell you is that the version of Ubuntu he's using is called Xubuntu, (minimal install of Ubuntu), and that if you want to run Windows based software, you have to install WINE, and even then you're not guarenteed that it will work. Linux on it's own can use what's called VirtualBox, which will run a Virtual Machine of Windows for you and emulate it. You need a lot more than just 10 Gigs for this. Especially since the latest version of Ubuntu (14.04) is in the neighborhood of 10 to just install...

@XxSocialTechxX OtherOS (Linux) was removed in firmware 3.21. You NEED to be on Firmware 3.15 or on a custom version of 3.55 to install and run Linux now.

Do you have to boot from cd or can you use USBkey

@INS14466 It will if you have a PS3 running either firmware 3.15 or below, or running a custom firmware 3.55. Anything higher, no it wont work.
