I was very scared because he deals with pain amazingly but he went under water in the pool and I grabbed him quickly, and all of the sudden he was holding his arm and couldn't stop crying. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE VIDEO THAT WORKS, YOU FOUND IT. My son has dislocated his elbow about 6 times now and each time we’ve needed to go to the ER. You get tired of that. I wanted to see if I could do it myself. Found this and after 2 attempts the arm was back into place. Thank you SO much Dr. Risa! From my family! My 10 year old is back in his room watching TV with full range of motion. We will follow up with his pediatrician/ortho doc in the morning.

I went through the same senario years ago with my daughter as you did. I learned the procedure from our Air Force E.R. docotor and used it on my next child. So easy and it's over in a second although the child doesn't want you to touch them. It saved time AND money, and pain to our child.
This video is amazing my two year old was screaming in pain and didn’t want me to move her and was crying I was just about to take her to the ER when I was like last minute effort and came across this video. I fixed her arm she cried for a minute and is instantly back to normal.
After reading the comments my husband and I decided to do this, he was crying every time any movement was around his arm, noticed first while I was changing his diaper as this as happened before. He’s scared to move his arm right now, now he’s tapping his fingers, now he’s moving his arm!!! Yay it worked!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. My 4 year old dislocated his elbow, and you saved me an emergency visit. I'll keep an eye and take him to his PCP if not better tomorrow. I've got his arm in a sling, and aside from immediate pain that he complained about for the first few minutes after reset, he now says it feels much better. It worked exactly how you said!! Great video. I performed this technique on my 16 month old girl. The incident occurred when I helped her down a slide and I felt a pop in her arm. She was inconsolable for 45 mins and wouldn’t lift her arm. I followed the technique on the video, felt the pop and she was immediately back to her normal self. Amazing.

Thank you so much Dr. Risa! Your video was a lifesaver... Our 2 year old was having a little dance party with her mom and her big sister and suddenly she was screaming. Couldn't move her elbow, and whenever we tried, she would cry. I thought we'd have to take her to the ER, but thanks to your simple to follow video and clear instructions, I was able to maneuver her arm while she slept. Felt the "click" and all seems good now, thank G-d. She's sound asleep and isn't complaining when I move it. Let me just tell you how helpful this video was. The reassurance that I wouldn't hurt her trying (my two year old who i had to take the ER once for this reason...$2000 later...) . Thank you! My daughter did this again TODAY playing with her sister (all she did was roll kinda bear hugging her sister... nobody was pulling on it as far as i could tell... i'm obviously very cautious of that ...i even tell any one playing with her..hey watch the arms... if she starts to run just let go). But because of your post I was able to make her feel better with out having to have my husband leave work during a busy stressful week 45 minutes away to take her to the ER and cost us a lot more money. You're an angel in my eyes :)

In the video it says to turn wrist away from body. You actually turn in towards the body and pull his wrist away at the same time. Gets me every time. Thanks for this video!

I was at football practice and one of our drills was to get it two-point and push our defensive linemen holding the big pad. I did that but my elbow twisted and I feel a discomfort. It feels like a sprain, but can I still try this method out? Thanks
