IMPORTANT UPDATE ON 12/02/2022 = ****With patch 1.06 the game now gives you a more accurate distance right off the bat with a putter in hand from the fringe or from the fairway. So no need to really take off distance, unless the greens are really fast or you are way down hill**** I hope this will help beginners learn everything they need to know about putting from the fringe in PGA 2K23! There will be many more tutorials to follow on the channel on all different aspects of the game. Thank you Ryan for these video's,having not played a golf game for years and being a senior citizen,your help is greatly appreciated. I played the witch course today over the two rounds and was delighted to finish 1 under par on what I felt was a tough 36 holes.

I used to putt from the fringe in 2k21by deducting 4ft from the pin and adjusting for lie and speed.This calculation does not work in 2k23.It is harder to get the weight right.So thanks for showing this. Not being able to adjust speed of the greens and wind direction on the practice ground is very disappointing.

Yeah fringe putting is so much different in this game. Happy to help! Yeah I feel like you should be able to change every specific setting in the practice range.

I get a sadistic sort of kick on watching people select putter when on the fringe and not modify the distance and end up rocketing the putt way past the hole.

I’ve started out on MyCareer finally. As a result I’m paying more attention to the unruly putting meter ;-) What’s up managing the swing follow through. Feels like I really have to push forward smartly (Rather hard) to push release the ball. Solution. Is this something addressed as putting weight? ~ Thanks ~

Yeah this is very challenging and takes a lot of practice. So putting weight can definitely help with it, but it is still very challenging at first even with a higher putt weight stat. Just keep working at it and you will get it down!

@@Jacob-qv5qf So unfortunately you cannot actually customize your golf swing or change it. But both the female body type swing and male body type swing are unique. I personally think the female swing type is smoother.

I keep having my game freeze on me at the most random spots and ill have to restart the game to continue the tournament or game i am in. It happens least once a match isually on the back 9 after ive played the game for awhile. A quick restart of the game am everything works fine. Not aure why this happens but iys making me very angry.

That is very frustrating. I hope there is a patch soon to address all the crashes and disconnection issues many are experiencing.

@@GamerAbility yes me too i had thought with my last big issue i had where i coukdnt play the game even after restart and had a update and then it worked thi gs were good. But now it just freezes on me least once a match like it did to you on you other video you posted today. I am happy that is not just me but at same time its something that didnt happen at release when i first started to play the game. It almostakes me want to quit the game when i restary and go play MW2,NBA,MLB instead

So the green speed can be seen when you are putting on the green, the number in the top right of the screen showing the full putter shot distance. The higher the number on the green, the faster the green speed

@@GamerAbility ok thanks so if it shows 80% and shows 99-100% after the bar then the 80% is the speed of the green and the 99-100% is for the putter stroke?

@@jdmahle So the number to the right of the percent shown in the top right is the green speed. That number is referring to if you had a long straight flat green and hit a 100% putt your ball would travel that many feet. Usually the number is greater than 100. The higher over 100 the faster the greens. So 198 greens would be super fast.

Yeah the lack of online features and disconnection issues and bugs/glitches make it very tough for online players. I am surprised they released without any new online features. I hope that they can iron out all the Bugs and then when crossplay and online ranked drop the game can pull people back into it.
