Just read on Operation Sports that career mode events will not end in ties, and that the career mode schedule can be customized to include created courses for any of the "non-official" real-life events! That's huge, and I am 100% in on this.

I hope they fix the drop zones.

I hope we get realistic rounds in society play. Hopefully the archetype & skills help buff how consistent one can play. It would be great to see if your attributes on certain clubs change based on performance & work. Bc in golf you’re swing doesn’t feel the same everyday or aspects of your game. Having some adaption per round could really lower scores that we see which are arcady. Seeing -40 per tournament really pushed me away.

I'm not sure what was more surprising, how much these changes will make me buy the next game or catching you live streaming on RU-vid last night. I tried 2K21 but really struggled with the swing mechanic being from the old school Links 386 and Tiger Woods golf games, now they are bringing back a re-designed 3 button swing and the other changes like upgrading heads, shafts and grips I am definitely getting this game. Only decision is I am not sure if I should get it on PC or Xbox SX, would prefer to play on the sofa but will it look better on PC. I think the 3 button swing was shown slightly, you said in he description at the end that 3 button introduces a yellow vertical swing bar rather then horizontal, one part of the video show a yellow vertical bar. Maybe.

Some info from some of the other people that have had hands on plays at the game like B101 and Crazy Canuck and others. -Punch shots are confirmed to be back in the game. -Splash shots can only be done from the bunker Also all the pros have different skill sets, Rahm had 86 power on his driver and was about 295 carry apparently, and Tiger had a 25 yd chip shot with his LW, so it looks like the skills/archetypes and club attributes can make some significant changes to your playstyle.

As someone has already said, splash shots in bunkers only and the punch shot has returned and apparently chipping is harder now. I think the lob wedge chips a lot further now so that will be your main club so you will be hitting really hard partials on short chips. It looks like they have made the short game a lot harder because to be honest it was ridiculously easy.

according to Canuck, the lie range shrinks the percentage. So instead of seeing 60-70%, you may see 63-69% or whatever. it makes that range tighter to give you a better idea of what the actual number would be. The skill points/archetype is similar to NBA where you can design your player as you want to play and then build those skills through playing. So you may be a long hitter but the trade off is your short game isn't as good, for example. and those skills that you grind out can be online or off...they go with you wherever, however you play. So if you play a society event or TGCT, it sounds like you're playing with the player you've created...similar to playing with your CAP on MLB the Show.

The skills/archetypes and club changes are fascinating. They feel like THE big change here besides bringing back the old EA-Tiger-era "play as the pros" angle, and I have no idea even after this video how good a change it'll be. But it's exciting to have this entire angle of speculation.

According to B101 Design, splashes only out of bunkers, and chip shots now have range up to 25 yards with a lob wedge. So apparently, lots of partials coming out way, very punishing

I’m excited now!! I would love to see them show where the other golfer in your grouping hit their ball and maybe what they shot that hole

Will there be Dynamic weather conditions ?

Some interesting, deeply immersive things in this game that should keep people's attention/interest in playing this game. That may help prevent people getting bored and thus interested in buying the EA game later. If I have lots to accomplish in this game.. I will be less inclined to buy the EA game. Just give me more licensed courses and tournaments in Career mode and TGC Tours and that may be enough to tie me over for two years.

I'm curious to see how tgctours and other societies will handle player attributes

Agree on the swing style miss. I mean that was one of the few things I wanted.. Nothing crazy like old tiger woods game but just a few different variations

Will it be possible to create more than one MyPlayer do we know yet?

I think the only time we're going to see caddies and other players, in game, is in cut scenes. Of course you'll see the other player taking their swing when they're up, if you've got turn mode enabled. I just don't think you're going to see caddies or other players, standing where they'd be standing in real life, while you're playing or setting up your shot. I'm basing this on what I'm seeing in various gameplay videos, but I never see them during shot setup or execution in any of the video I've watched thus far.

3C is an arcade style type of control that goes back 30 plus years to when computer golf games first appeared. It is probably the usual half circle for the power meter. I see that one of the comments indicated that splash shots will now only be available from a bunker lie. They finally added what they called a splash shot in 2K21 but you could hit it from anywhere including the green. At 27.08 the avatar is hitting a driver so the hole must be a par 4 or par 5. However there are still divots on the tee box. It is this type of unrealistic detail and the splash shot that tells me none of the developers have ever played the real game and that Woods probably didn't have any input into 2K23. I am wondering if you can still hit their so called pitch shot 135 yards using a 5 iron with the trajectory of a 9 iron? Even Tiger couldn't do that in real life. The entire short game in 2K21 was all wrong so what changes beside the splash shot have they implemented? What about the UI because it was absolutely awful in 2K21. The graphics basically look the same as 2K21 and in your video I recognized a panorama from 2K21. They called these themes and course designers were restricted to using only those in the background. Apparently they have added more objects which means that the course editor will still not allow the freedom of creating custom objects such as tee markers and flags. All the canned objects and backgrounds led to every course in 2K21 having the same look and their courses still look way too pristine. All in all and considering the inflated price I am underwhelmed that after two years this is what they have come up with.

Great video Respawn. I am really hoping we can turn those skills off for society play or any play really if desired, it's not golf when your next shot becomes easier just because you hit 4 bad timing shots. Maybe if you choose simulation for your society these are locked out.

Splashes are only from the shirt bunkers. They went from making it a skill game to attributed and who sets up the best build of clubs with the best setup BALLS and SHAFTS! Offline that's fine. I hope it's not online head to head with friends. No mouse or controller lock cheating. Playing in a twosome or foursome so, your not just swinging, swinging loading every 2 seconds and swinging. True golf is turn base oriented. Most of these clowns online could swing straight the way we play. I watch their swing paths and none of us could swing that straight with an Elite 2 brand new. (A used controller is much harder)

I was gonna wait for EA Golf but the 3 click and it's components has me intrigued. Hum....

I really hope they add in cross play so I can play with my friends on PS4/5 and PC since it is 2022!

Nothing about offline tournament modes being more customisable , nothing about career mode enhancements beyond an extra course or 2 , nothing about the crucial drop zone issue being fixed just top golf , skills , and other arcadey nonsense. What a disappointment.

Graphics do look slightly better, yet.....they still didn't add a camera man to any of the cameras in the tower. I mean come on! How hard would it have been to take one of the folks out of the gallery and stick a headset on them, then put them behind those cameras. I know it's a bit petty to complain, just a pet peeve.

Sorry bro but the "assets" and graphics have not improved!! You must have your rose colored glasses on if you think there are individual swings for each of the 14 tour players. JT's swing in real life is very classic and that's the same swing for all the players in the game. Tiger has a very distinctive swing in real life and the one in the game is not modelled after his real swing. In fact it's the same friggin swing as JT's. Those cut scenes showing players will be in career mode and as you recall we all turned off those annoying cut scenes after about 3 days. The club cusomization looks very interesting. Lots of speculation and hoping at this point what we need is to see real game play. You hit the nail on the head...IT'S VERY ARCADIE with these attributes that last for a couple holes. Truly bizarre!!

The Game needs more immersion, to See a caddy When you shoot or a better and more realistic crowd, graphics nothing to compare with nba2k games i know but a little bit better would be nice.

To me it looks like the game is still going to have the bunkers with very unrealistic lips and no pot bunkers. I really hope they fixed the erratic Xbox swings.

I understand that one needs to introduce new elements to keep fans interested, but there's a difference in adding useful elements or adding gimmicks. EA lost its way because it became gimmicky! This game grew because of its realism! I hope the creators never lose sight of that!

I'm disappointed because of no cross play from at least PC to Xbox has been implemented this year.
