I’ve been doing the curveball quick catch so long I don’t even know how to catch normally any more 😄 my sister is a new player though so I just send her this video 🙏🏻
If you want to go faster, turn on the AR view as it skips the animation at the beginning. It makes a big difference if you're catching hundreds of mons in an hour. Also, i find it easier to pull the berry tray instead of the pokeball tray, and pull it up instead of across the screen. Im right handed. Good luck catching guys.
I used this on the last community day I caught 430 in 2 1/2 hours. Changed my day, I ended up getting over 3k candies over 300k stardust. Thank you, thank you for your videos
The fast catch trick saves a lot of time especially for Go Fest! Learned this from Billy a couple years ago and it’s rare when I revert back to the old way of catching. I will say, I personally don’t use this when catching raid bosses. I accidentally did the fast catch with a shiny Terrakion and freaking lost it because the timer at the gym had ended.. learned my lesson on that one. Keep practicing y’all and have fun! Thank you Trainer Club!!!
Just need to hold the tray slight towards the middle of the screen. There is no need to slide finger across the screen. As a right hand thrower, I use my left thumb to hold / slide berry tray diagonally to right & down. Sliding tray diagonally downwards also help from messing up my curve ball throw.
I've been doing it like that to, I could never get the hang of how Billy explained it, then accidentally found it this for me lot easier way, it's kind of like a swipe motion, I have small hands, so this is a perfect way for quick catching for me. With AR is not for me, it makes me dizzy....
Thank you for the awesome tips Billy. This trick is really helpful, however as a left handed player myself, I would suggest pulling the berry tray to the right with the right thumb and throwing with the left thumb while curving anti clockwise. Personally, this is much more easier for me as a left handed player but at the end of the day everyone does it as per their own convenience. I hope this tip may help some left handed player watching the video.
I'm a right hand catcher, but I use my left thumb to only slightly push out the berry tray, which works fine for quick catch. A lot easier than pulling all the way across.
You can exit much faster than the 3rd catch as the catch is determined as soon as you hit the mon. So if you exit and then tap on the Pokemon and you start the fight, obviously you didn't catch it. If you did catch it, tapping on the Mon in the overworld makes them "run away" because it was caught
Catching is even faster in the simplified AR mode, especially if you’re just shiny checking without catching, although it does drain battery faster. The wild encounter screen loads almost instantly.
Thank you! I was wondering why it wasn’t working for me and you explained it best. I didn’t know I had to drag either the poke ball or the Berry a bit before I threw the ball. I feel like now I’ll be a bit faster at catching
A tip the might help. I hold down the berry button and throw my ball. Then after a i throw I swipe the button and release. Same affect but easier to throw the ball.
I just got so startled by this. I tried it for the first time and as I was going to my storage to see if it was there, I'm thinking "wait, I've caught a bunch of these things. How will I know if this is a new one?" Well, no question, it was a shiny, my first for this event. :)
Its a great trick. I did that a lot with my iphone 6. Since I've upgraded to iphone 11, its much more difficult as the phone is a lot wider. My hand struggles to reach across the phone. I now just use an auto catcher
What I ment with the AR glitch, was that you can change the settings in your phone (android only) to turn the AR sensors off. Then if you have your pokemon go in AR mode, the pokemon is always in a locked spot. What makes this usefull is that in the AR mode you don't have to wait to throw your pokeball! This with the fast catch tactic saves you even more time while playing! Caught 350 pokemon during the last spotlight hour. Hope Billy can make a video about this to explain it to all of you :). Edit: he will teach you tomorrow xd
I was ok with it until SZ events when the incense mon rate was 20 seconds. If there was no catch you might not have a chance to rethrow. Then I found out with multiple devices, I can catch multiple mon at once.
I know this is kinda random, but Billy what's your diet like? You stay so lean. Maybe do a health tips video? I bet you walk a ton. But maybe give us some insight to stay in shape, healthy and happy while catching Pokemon!
Great idea for catching this pokemon. I been trying but some great and excellent throws don't work on mine but I got few in just normal throws and I asked myself How? I just get few in the Excellent throws
Sometimes when I throw a ball at a pokemon it skips the whole the animation process and catches it instantly. Only happens if its going to be a successful catch but its weird
So is it me or did niantic mess with the catch rates with the new season? I’ve done 30 raids so far and have had 4 run after 14+ excellent throws w/ Gold Razzs (one was a 2351……) anyone else feel this?
Still can't beat go plus gotcha catchmon on comm days tested it out even using pinap n quick catches , in high spawm areas the go plus is just quicker . Sadly there's a risk of good stuff runs
I’ve tried quick,l catch 100 times. Can’t get it to work. Very tricky method that is difficult to master, if at all possible. Seems like a waste of time & Poke balls if you ask me.
