I almost didn't even watch this, since I already use the "quick catch" glitch/method, but I'm glad I did, as I had no idea about the "ball recall" glitch/method. Thanks! Side note: If Niantic ever "fixes" the "quick catch" glitch I may have to quit playing, as I don't think I could go back to waiting for the catch animation on EVERY mon I catch lol

@@iPlayGreen I'm pretty sure it only works if you click one of the balls before the ball you just threw hits the ground or the Pokemon you're throwing at. I still haven't quite got it down myself, I'm too used to immediately clicking somewhere on the screen when I miss.

Love this technique been using it over a year, and now I learned the ball retrieve part of it so thank you! Technique for CDay: quick catch to shiny check, only run away if the pokemon isn't worth keeping. I stay on the ball shake screen for high CP and shinies, then run away once catch is confirmed.

@@keegancarroll2734 the more shiny checks you do the better odds of getting a shiny. If you also quick catch, you will better your odds of shinies and candies. Don't get stuck on a low cp pokemon just shiny check and quick catch the rest.

I like the skip animation for gift opening. Simply hit where the "x" usually is in the bottom center of the screen right after hitting open.

I use left thumb on berry tray and throw with my right -- throwing left curveballs. Weird, I know. Point is that you do not need to pull the tray all the way to the opposite side of the screen for it to work. I only slide my thumb about 1/4 inch to the right, just enough to get that elongation of the circle. Leaves plenty of room for my right hand to do curveballs and I still do the fast catches. Hope this helps!

thing is you wouldnt be able to call your ball back with this method. which was like literally 90% of the point he was trying to make. so thats cool and all but irrelevant

@@jackhofalot6705 Yeah, you may not think I know Jack, but I know this. He not only shows in the video that you can use the berry tray the same way, but as soon as I watched the video I tried it and it works. My point was about not having to drag the tray all the way across the screen and, again, it works. ETA: it also works not having to drag the ball tray all the way across the screen.

Since i use the lower left corner to make my throws, my finger was always in the way holding the ball tray. I found out you can still hold the ball tray by sliding your thumb all the way to the left and halfway up the side of the screen so that i can still throw my normal way while using the trick. Until I found that out I rarely used it because my throws felt so clumsy.

Two things: First, I like the clarity in this video. I’ve been fast catching since we discovered it after Pikachu’s Community Day - but pulling the ball back never made sense to me, and I thought that once it made contact - let’s say when it bounces off of an attack animation - that it was too late to pull the ball back It certainly came in handy today, and was very helpful when completing 5 great curveball throws in a row today (didn’t have to use a nanab berry to do it). The second thing - I tried when battling rocket grunts and in raids - you can use the berry menu to call the ball back as well. The only thing is you can only use that trick once (because we don’t have the berry menu, and once you’ve selected a berry, you have to use it; unless you’re confident enough to be backing out of the encounter and going back to it, which would kind of defeat the purpose lol) - but I thought that was a worthwhile learn and something to mention. Thanks again!

A little trick i found. Instead of pulling finger holding ball tray to bottom try going to side and middle of screen. This way you can use your normal throw pattern!

One thing that can help with the berry catch side, since it feels awkward for a lot of people, is to bring up the finger holding up to the middle or top of the screen so it isn't obstructing the throw people are used to doing. Just remember to drag it over first before moving up

still good to know that you can call the ball back if its blocked, but for stubborn catches (pokemon breaks free), the ball is still used. :)

Doesn't work anymore, at least on Samsung s9+, when hit the ball the Pokemon disappears and the ball on the screen is just bouncing, have to hit the run button because only way to get out of screen. Stick to original way, this way just doesn't work anymore.

If you miss the circle and the mon goes into the ball, you can't recall the ball, correct? This would only be an issue with a "Make 3 Great throws in a row" task.

The poke ball and berry icon slightly move over when you hold it down. This is where the glitch is in the code. After that, you simply close out the ball menu by tapping the open area on the screen and hitting run.

I feel the left and right throw are getting mixed up. If you do a right throw you need the space in the left bottom corner to get better excellents on most pkmn, so you pull berrys with left hand thumb to right bottom corner, exactly how he does for legendaries. It's easy to get used to.
