I just want to point out that if you don't have more clips, but just one long footage like me, you can make subclips right in the PP. With the razor tool just split and select the part you want to add and then use Ctrl+U (or in menu "Clip->Make Subclip..."), then repeat for another timestamp. Anyway, perfectly explained, huge help for me.. I learned something new and really useful. Thanks!
Dude. New subscriber gained!!!! This tutorial saved me hours and days of editing music to the beats in a song!!!! This was insanely helpful!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!
This is a killer tutorial! I was wondering what way would you go if all of the clips you want to add come from the same, very long video, and you already made a separate sequence selecting all of the bits? Would die to get a solution for that
I need to finish deciding what clips to use, but I have to with in and out points already, is there any chance I can pug those in first and then keep going?
Great tutorial-I really like the fact that you have a written version as well. My problem is after I select the clips the automate to sequence is grayed out. Any idea why?
Hmm, perhaps you selected the sequence as well? Also, make sure once you high light all the clips to click back on the timeline to bring that back in to selection. Let me know if those work.
I would maybe look to make them subclips before you did this. This will break them off into their own little clips. Look up "how to create subclips in premiere pro" and there should be a tutorial on this. Once you get the subclip technique down, combine it with this, and you should be good to go.
hey great vid and bare w/me i'm a total beginner. 2 questions. Is it possible to make multiple 'in/out' sections in one clip? and my clip audio is playing and muting my mp3, how do I delete the clip audio? Thanks so much in advance if you see this and are able to help.
Ive tried this numerous times, not sure what im doing wrong but every time i do the sequence automation and i have in/out set. It literally gives me 2 cuts of the 40 or so markers Ive placed. my song is at least three minutes. The video is at least 10 minutes, can somebody or @adobe help!!??
Vegas is a good alternative to Premiere. Both have their advantages. Premiere's strong suit is that it's connected with the entire Adobe suite. So you can send your footage to many dedicated tools!
One thing I was hoping to find is a way to automate creation of markers. For example say I tap M to create 10 markers on the beat, and let's say that each beat was 0.5 seconds. I'd like to be able to select those markers with 0.5 duration, and create more by using the same 0.5 duration between the original set of beats and create another 100 beats (if the song is that long) Is something like that possible? I've been googling for awhile and can't seem to find it.
i want to add a 1 frame of adjustment layers with effects , and i want to apply it to all my markers . how do i do that ? edit : i mean , can i apply those 1-2 frames of adjustment layer to all the markers instead of " next marker + paste " ??
Great presentation, thank you so much. One issue I ran into and quickly resolved is that I already had a project started with lots of videos and photos in my timeline. I only wanted to sequence the end of my song to match photos in a slideshow. If anyone out there has a similar issue, just copy and paste the sequenced photos/videos from the timeline of the sequence to the timeline of your project. You can select with the arrow tool and just draw a rectangle around the sequenced footage. Thanks again for this awesome presentation, I'll be using this a lot!
