I left my job today which was my dream job. He picked me on over petty things and blamed me on everything that went wrong in the Surgery. I was completely stressed out and dreaded going in everyday day! So I did what was best for me and told them to shove the job up their ass 😂

I experienced the same issue but i am working in restaurant and my boss is always a di*k! So imma tell him that i quit today and he wont be able to find new staff to cover the vacancy cause he is a picky one. Hope he will regret what he have done to me.
There is no federal law that says you have to give two weeks notice. With the way companies are now laying employees off without notice. I believe in the double standard. Meaning I don’t owe the company anything and they don’t owe me nothing. I’ll be giving one week notices and then getting the bad reference from a reference checking firm. Then sending a ceise and desist letter from a attorney. It will neutralize any bad reference 🙂. Two weeks is a courtesy not a requirement.
I tried to give less than two weeks but they hold vacation pay so I had to give them 10 full days. Had a weekend vacation planned and wasn’t planning on a job offer so I’ll have to go back after it smh
Dave A it is technically NOT illegal to “give a bad reference” if it is the truth, however, most employers stay away from providing anything other than title, dates of employment and salary. Nothing more nothing less!
Walk up to him/her and explain to them why you are quitting and they say “I quit” very clearly. After this, you turn around and never look back. Very simple

I'm giving my 2 weeks notice today. I like my job but its too far of a drive from where I live. The job I'll be going to will be closer to where I live.
I'm facing the same thing, and lemme tell you that for the time taken driving to your work will cost you a lot. You can seize this time so it's a very good reason to you
I’m in the same boat. Right now I have a 90+ min commute one way and I found a job 10 min from my house. I just hope the convo with my boss this week goes ok. I just can’t spend 4 hours on the road everyday anymore 😞
In mean while, I do not quite believe how to not make it less awkward 😅 but I believe the reason why you want to resign is most important thing that will support you, and generally we have only one life to live so no reason for anyone to keep doing what provoke him, life is beautiful and we got to enjoy it, so don't like the job just quit, you got a better one go ahead, if you want to start your own business be my guest, go to your boss as you're someone wasting his time working there and be honest. I DO NOT get this weird advice I hear on some of these posted videos about "making yourself available" to train the new employee or be there st no cost for questions or finding your own replacement. Um....no. That's all the employer's job. That's part of being a business owner or boss and what is up with the martyrdom and sacrificial lamb/ do or mat stuff when it comes to moving on with your life professionally when you're not happy with your job or the company and you're ready to put your energy in to things that will benefit you and your family more in way of time and effort invested and return back? I don't buy it. Employers do not invest in those they are over or disinterested in because of low return from their stand point, so why put it on the employee who feels the same? Just odd IMO. I understand the value of opportunity and experience and how it helps to develop one to move on potentially, but when it's done it's done and there's no need kids ass extra on your way out.
The easiest way possible to quit a job, just say “I quit” 1: your boss doesn’t need to know anything about your plans after you quit because they might sabotage you in the long run if you have a bad boss, 2: if he doesn’t like that answer and if he becomes rude, just simply tell him “screw off” and walk out. That’s what I just did today, lol
I’m 16 and I have a job and I’m a busser I’m working 3 days a week usually Friday and Saturday and Sunday for now since I have school , I’m fed up with the co-workers and the boss he’s had done some very not smart things in the past and is still doing the same , I been feeling down with negative thoughts and depression, idk if it time to go .
This is especially helpful if you have lots of sensitive info and you are handing it over to someone else. You can really screw the company. My dream is to start my own business! I really needed this, thank you!

Great video! I'm happy I found it. I was wondering if there's such a thing as giving too much notice? I'd like to let them know 6 weeks in advance so they can find someone, give them time to give notice at their job, and then have training time with them. Is that silly?
That's very thoughtful of you. You could talk with your co-workers and check or ask the company you work for directly. It is so frustrating sometimes I don't want to even go and tell her I'm quitting I just want to walk out my manager at water burgeris giving me no hours whatsoever we get paid weekly and my checks are $40-$50 weekly she basically gives me one day every week. This is BS!!!😡😡

I had a horrible micro manager for a boss, and after working there for about a year, they had whittled down my work time to one Saturday a week and left the inventory from Wednesday for me to do. Best decision I made was to quit. I've since worked with other managers who were much more professional and compassionate.
I won't be giving my 2 weeks notice because they retaliate and have a record of not releasing people from the job. There's an actual book at HR of complaints from workers over the years.

I think today the process of giving two weeks notice at companies is becoming a thing of the past. I’ve seen so many employees walk employees out the moment they gave notice. In my eyes you should treat your company as they treat you. There is no loyalty anymore.
You should tell them face to face, and hand them or email them a resignation letter. The resignation letter establishes that you gave notice on such-and-such a date.

hey Names Luis just started a side business that kicked off we'll making more than my paycheck and my wife and i want to give this 100% problem is that my boss's are awesome they have always given me work 40 plus hours plus commission. they know about my side business and how quickly its growing. they have been given me days off to catch up on orders because they dont want to lose me. only thig is i cant catch up because we have so many customers i dont know how to handle quitting

If you work for an At Will employer: Never sign a disciplinary, never consent to an exit interview and never give notice when you leave. I lived by those rules for 47 years in the workforce with no regrets.

Hey, Evan. I'm going to provide you with as much information as I can so I can get the best answer! I'm 16 and I currently work part time in a grocery store. I've been working there about 5 months and I feel that my managers take advantage of some of my coworkers including myself and some of the OTHER coworkers just are lazy and literally get paid for doing nothing. I want to quit this job because I feel that my managers take advantage of some of their workers and some coworkers aren't putting in their fair share of work. But the thing is my grandmother is saying that it's more convenient (it's right down the street) than the job I actually WANT (At Hot Topic, a teen apparel store down the interstate about 20-30 minutes from me) and I only have my permit so I have to be with a supervising driver (my dad) and I don't get my license until next February. So how would I convince my grandmother to be on my side about my transition and get out of that job ASAP whilst being professional?
