Been using it for years. I feel like a missionary when I try to get other people to try use it too. I live in the tropics with a rough rainy season, and people always ask "How is your windshield doing that!?" I forward them videos like yours. Rain repellant is oddly a somewhat niche product category, but RainX deserves all the praise it gets. It always blows my mind when rainy season comes around and I re-apply.
It looks like you were driving under 40 MPH. That is almost the exact speed at which Rain-X really beads up and you can essentially turn off your wipers. Then it actually gets better as you go faster.
I use RainX as you did a long with RainX windshield wiper fluid. I hardly ever use my wipers. And , never need to on the highway. I've tried many products for the rain/snow/ice and , RainX seem to work best for me. I've used it for years now.
How is it when u use ur windshield wipers with it will it still help the rain removal cus i did this once and if was odd it would smear the rain and would make it harder to see when i did try to hse the windshield wipers on it
If it smeared, you didn’t apply it properly. You really have to buff off all of the excess or it will smear. You should be able to use your wipers with no issues.
@@TightWadDIY very likely when using certain waxes. Always best to use polishing wax, then wax, then a sealer. Chemical Guys have some extraordinary products. But, Maguire's Ultimate compound, ultimate polishing wax, ultimate liquid wax can be used as well. Both will give you no streaks.
I saw a video of a person applying a potato on the outside of the windshield and it looks like it works just like the rain-x. It's a Mexican video and I am trying to find someone in the US who has tried it. 😊
@@fraps3200 good question. You are right, I should do it myself. When I saw it, instead of trying it myself, I decided to check before if anyone in the US had tried it and then I just forgot all about it. You're right, I'll try it myself 😊
Has anyone tried using crept shoe protect spray.... I sprayed my new shoes one the titles outside my house and when it rains you can see exactly where I sprayed it. 😂
Any kind of high quality spray wax works just the same, only difference is you can use it on the whole car. Just make sure to wipe it off good. Water beads.
Absolutely DREADFUL stuff to put on the glass. I have had to reject a car because it was causing serious wiper judder and it couldn't be removed. I'm on my second car with it on and I'm close to getting the windscreen replaced. Don't use it!
