I would like to add to anyone watching this video, if you aren't replacing the crankshaft do NOT remove the gear on the crank. 2 reasons, #1 The new crank will come with the gear on it. #2 The crank gear is not keyed and you will have no way to index it properly on the crankshaft if you plan on reusing the crank . This of course also leaves out the fact that the case splits top and bottom and with split shell bearings there would never be a need to remove it anyway.
