Are the dawn of x trades necessary? I won’t be missing out on anything if I just get the X-men trades or are the dawn of x trades the better way to go?

@@trevorgoodman4110 The stories in the other series, or at least in x-force, do have impact and intersect with the main x-men series to a certain extent.

@@NearMintCondition sure I am. I love Hickman since his Secret Warriors. I really hope he wil do with X-Men what he did with Avengers/New Avengers. I don't like now how Xavier works (if he is himself) and how Cyclops is shown. But Jean is normal woman, and that is big plus.

I was also buying them monthly until I got to about issue four. X-leah I can't wait to read her run. I loved her MJ so I will see how well she handles the X-factor. Excalibur I heard got better with the second arc.

I don't know I think of Avengers by Hickman and they leaving out Secret Wars.

So the thing is, the reading order in the singles has actually changed a couple times between issues to accommodate delays and rearranged release orders for issues. At this point I'm pretty sure it's not really intended to be chronological so much as lined up as well as possible to not spoil things in weekly publication order. For example, a couple of the X-Men issues came out very late to the point that some of the early volumes just wouldn't have had an X-Men issue in them if they had gone in explicit publication order, but clearly they wanted the first 6 volumes at least to have one issue of each series in them, and so an X-Men issue got pulled in to each no matter when it was actually published. They seem to be loosening up on that from volume 7 on, so maybe they'll move things around a bit if it makes sense continuity-wise, but I think an omnibus is going to be the only place with a real chance of chronological ordering, and even that might be a little weird depending on what's included.

HawkEyeTS well said. That X Men issue 5 release really threw me off. They also missed a few of the dates if I recall correctly.

I'm a fan of X-force, X-men and New Mutants. Marauders is good, Excalibur grew on me, but Fallen Angels was not for me. At least Excalibur for Swords of X.

I see what you mean, I don't like the way Vulcan is portrayed and a couple of other characters, but its so fun to read again and we know there is going to be twists later on.

Someone needs to hurry and make that Ultimates by Hickman Omnibus. Oh I’m sure is coming, but we have no idea how it will he mapped or collected.

@@NearMintCondition I forgot about that. I see two ways that would happen. They do just the Ultimates 1-30, which would give us a ~750 page omni. The alternative is they include Ultimates 1-30, along with Fallout 1-6, Thor 1-4, and Hawkeye 1-4. Now we are looking at ~1200 page omni. That is still reasonable. I am assuming the Bendis issues of Fallout would be included for completeness sake.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't considering its part of the reading order universe. I hope one day though.

I have to go with X-force and Maruaders.

@@NearMintCondition I want to dive in SO bad but dont know how far back to go and titles to include. Seems like a great spin on the universe. Hoping for a absolute edition or atleast a nice hardcover omnibus, it seems like it deserves it. Great video btw! I really like the way Marvel layed out the Dawn of x trades. I think it was a great way to give collectors a way to keep up with the X universe without feeling overwhelmed by all the titles.

Just know we will be producing some of the most kick ass and riveting stories with your favorite superheroes....and some not so good ones. Also dont expect any rhyme or reason to our.... schedule, release dates, trade paper backs, omnis, or absolute editions...matter a fact dont expect much at all, we dont like being pressured. We will just wing it and everything will be ok..trust us, were DC 😌

My brother, I always make time for the kind folks that take the time to watch my videos. I LOVED it! 9.5/10 It's different from those days of the classics, but its so good. The retcon they pulled off works in every way and I love the new status quo. Sure, I have some problems with some of the voices, but hey that's just me nit picking. :)

The thing with Hickman books just like the Avengers books he wrote you almost have to keep track of what’s going on in ALL his books.
