I have 650 GV 2013 and after standing in rain, one cylinder does not fire for few minutes ( 4-5 minutes) before warming up. It runs normal after 5 minutes.What do you thing should I check?
Sounds like the spark plugs earthing out when wet so it's not zapping the plug. Check the leads on both ends by unplugging them and checking for corrosion. Could also be the water is getting into the regulator rectifier and shorting it so the voltage output is less and only enough to spark one cylinder. Check it's plugs too.
Suzuki sv650 and our gv650s have the same rubber caps over the spark plugs. They are a known fault on the Suzuki's. I'd check some Suzuki pages for an idea on a long term fix. But short term, simply replacing them from the wire down will fix it, checking for any corrosion.
That's how I found out my ECU was busted, It was coming up with a timing error but the resistance on the timing wires was within spec. At least yours is starting and running, mine would not even do that.
Wow very different to a newer GV650 with a Delphi ECU. I short mine before starting (thats the only way it works for me and it starts fine) and once the error light comes on you hold select button down for 15 seconds and then the code is displayed.
Hello I am so thankfull for this site ! because i am in very big trouble,,, Last year when i parked my Hyosung Gt650EFI year 2008, The bike staling/misfiring / lost power,,, And i was assuming it was new Ignition coils/spark plug, So ive changed Both ignition coils Both spark plugs, Rectifier STATOR/MAGNET ------------- STILL SAME Issue,, The bike can idle fine ! but as soon you give a Little Gas, the bike will not take it and it runs very poor, There is no problem when starting the bike, it turns great in and idle fine ! but as soon you give a throttle it stall and go on 1 cylinder(sounds like that) I dont see any Faults in my display ? , Could it be the air sensors?,, How can i check that? Could it be the injection nozzle? - How can i check that ? Could it be low fuel pressure? - but how can i check? The pump is runing great as soon you turn on ignition,,, In Denmark there are No Hyosung dealers,, so no dealer help is possible, Thank you Regards Jacob From Denmark
mine flashes FI but not when it's running. Is that good or bad? It starts instantly when cold and the throttle repsonse seems fine and it doesn't smell rich.
Perhaps an electrical issue when the bikes running it's producing electricity from the alternator/regulator rectifier. Could be shorting somewhere or an issue with a sensor.
It is inaccurate and misleading to say 0:46 "the engine isn't running and teh FI is not lit". Actually production years around 2009 ALWAYS display cHE and ref FI light is on UNTIL you start the engine. Maybe later EFI models have this fixed. Early carb version of course do not display anything as they have no EFI unit to transmit error codes at all.
@@nawrfsideshawty this kind of cHe is fine. if it displays with motor running, at this point you youse debugging/serviing switch and it displays error code instead of km/h.
