I've been playing guitar for 5 years. I'm only now learning to read tabs🐒 Edit: I keep getting notifications about this comment and one thing I must say is time is fake. TIME IS FAKE. There is no way I commented this 2 years ago. There is no way this video was uploaded 2 years ago. RU-vid is lying. This has was minimum 3/4 years ago. And no one can say otherwise. If you look down while playing, low E will appear on the "bottom" of the neck, while high E will appear on the "top"

I was getting very confused with tabs, I know how to read regular sheet music from playing other instruments but this truly had me stumped 😂. Thank you for explaining it so well. One question tho, if there is no number on a string does that mean it isn’t played?

I thought the way the strings were arranged (top to bottom/bottom to top) was counterintuitive. Should be the other way around. But this is my firs attempt of any kind to learn to read and/or write music in any way, so if I keep it up I'll hopefully see the light sooner rather than later. Thanks to everybody who puts tutorials like this up for the benefit of us lesser mortals.

as a kid i spent a whole summer in a Guitar class learned nothing and quit guitar, and when i asked the teacher about it they basically said i was just bad. THE TEACHER NEVER WENT OVER THIS!!! im happy im giving it another go and now theres youtube😅
