Good on you for passing down this knowledge. I have a few Bibles that just aren't nice/expensive enough to send off to a bindery that really do need the work done though. So, maybe now I'll give it a shot on my own. (I'll start with a hardcover that only cost a few bucks. LOL) Anyway, thanks again, brother. May our Lord continue to bless and keep you.

Thank you very much for your videos. For spine hubs I use paracord. It's inexpensive. it's simply not going to wear out and it's very easy to work with. Your spine hubs are always exactly the same diameter you just cut them to the length of the spine that you wanted used and you're always going to get a consistent even raised hub

I have noticed other binders using scrap paper under their work when gluing. This saves on having to use the wipes and paper towels to clean up. But everyone has their own methods of working.

Your work looks a lot like RL Allen concerning style from what I can see in this video. I'm not really familiar with your finished product. But looks very nice. I hope to learn how to do this one day. I have some basic leather working tools. I just need a skiving knife and the right kind and thickness of leather.

how different should the leather liner be, than the outer leather? Or, does it not really matter

My Bible that's my regular reader and beater is falling apart and I'd like to rebind it. Where do you find the best place is to buy this type of leather? Thanks!

What are you using for the leather liner? Is it lambskin or the same sokoto goatskin? Where can I find it and what weight/thickness do you use?

What ounce leather do you use for your liner? I am planning on rebinding my bible with 6-7 ounce full grain rustic bison and would rather use leather liner than a paper liner. Thoughts?
