I have the exact same Central Brass 3 handle bath/shower configuration. Great video. Really liked the work around when the seat tool can’t loosen the seat - sub with Allen wrench. Tricks of the trade!
Your videos have helped me understand boilers better and what I’m looking at keep them shits coming I just got done work and I’m eating dinner watch the videos there great I think you should do a video when you get slower and let Calvin run the call let’s see his trouble shooting skills have gotten up
Video helped a lot. Using the end of pipe wrench with that hex wrench was the best. So easy at that point. That stupid pipe seat wrench is crap. Saved myself a ton of cash.
Great video man but for rookies like me doing at home jobs a heads up about the brass being an easy thing to break or strip would of been a good start other than that pretty solid video. I’m new to all this so just giving a fair warning toward the beginning and not the end would of worked for me 👍🏽
@@PipeDoctor He could have used a seat repair tool or just replaced the seats and washers and be out!Better I guess to just replace everything like my man Mike did!
Great video mike . !!!!!!!! MIKE YOU HAVE TO MAKE A VIDEO ON YOUR BACK GROUND . Everyone wants to know your background how many years have you been in the field ? how did it start for you ? what has been your greatest accomplishment so far besides opening up your remarkable company.
@@PipeDoctor Oh yeah you’ve got to make a video on yourself not just a reply Mike for everyone to view you could even show us that bonehead move with the typewriter lol
I have a different central brass setup for my tub. Just 2 handles. But I am trying to remove my overflow stopper. It seems to be stuck in the down position bc the water drains extremely slow!! I tried to use the snake thing but it only goes down about 1 foot. I keep hitting something hard in there. It has to be the overflow drain stopper that is causing the water not to flow right?
In my state in Massachusetts plumbers have to put anti scald single handle valves so 2 and 3 handle shower valves are illegal in Massachusetts because the risk of scalding.
Mike you spoke on service calls relating to 3way valves and heat exchangers. Sounds like weak spot for Navien. I have never seen you servicing the fire tube design. Are the NFC’s superior to the NCB’s. What do you have in your home and what’s your take on the two designs and record of failures? A video would be nice! What’s your thoughts on Rinnai or other manufacturers? I feel the Japanese make better cars than the South Koreans. Take us to school Mikey babe! You have to let some of that knowledge out of your head or it might explode lol. What I love about this channel is the professionalism the humor, the knowledge and none of your viewership trash each other we are all grown ups here and the only stupid question is the one not asked.
So fire tube for heating and the standard one for DHW all in the commercial line good to know you have to do an in death video on the residential/commercial lines for your viewership we would love that!
@@PipeDoctor we use them all the time too. And i love them. We get all our fittings there and they have the most random stuff in stock all the time. Damper actuators, odd ball motors, tools...everything you can think of. . next day delivery. Real people real service..lol. i also bought one of those supco umbrellas theough them and after a week one of the rods broke. I dont know if it was a defect or wind..lol. but either way, the mailed me a replacement the next day! Customer for life. They would be an awesome sponser
@@PipeDoctor See that Mike people care about the Cisco Kid either that they want me to shut up lol. You’ve got to get out of your comfort zone people want things done right!
Did you say you had (or were about to get) propane? Don't even bother running a 200kbtu/h machine on propane. Not cost-effective. Plus if I remember correctly it's ludicrously oversized for your house. If you want Navien, you need NHB-080 plus indirect.
@@arseniym3185 hey how’ve you been guy? Recently Dr Mike suggested a NCB 80 the NFC’s have 11:1 turn down so it would probably be ok but I don’t need 175K on the heating side I might look into that. Is there another way to contact you I respect your knowledge as well.
@@ciscokid2444 You need to remember one thing having a bigger (more powerful) boiler will not heat up your house any faster or make it any more comfortable. Do you have receipts for your oil deliveries? If you do, I can easily calculate heat loss for your house.
