@@e-man7369 seems like you were right so far. The most toxic people I played with a year ago were much, much worse than the most toxic people I meet now (who are usually 6-15)
A suggestion to help protect against mass reports, detect wether they were in a room together recently within a determined amount of time, group and file reports for similar reasons based on this information and have a system determine if it's a mass report. If there's not enough evidence to determine so, it then gets sent to a member of the moderation team to be reviewed. Obviously this isn't a perfect system and can probably be improved a ton, but having something like it I feel would help out on all ends of things.
I just got a 10 minute time out for getting a high number of reports of "sexually explicit behavior". But here's the thing, I never did anything like that! I don't know why, but people love false reporting me (a random stranger who they've never seen before in their life) for sexually explicit behavior when I have done nothing wrong and they know that. The first time it happened was at the AMA with Boethiah, where some random person (I don't even know who it was) just randomly reported me for sexual behavior and I got kicked to my dorm (and I was barely even talking to anyone!). I forgot about the second time, I just know it happened. But now this time, the time that got me a timeout, wasn't a dodgeball game where it was me and some dude against two girls. And I was mad at them for frontlining, and the other guy wasn't having it because he was throwing insults left and right at them. And for some reason, those sensitive girls blocked me and just me and reported me and the dude for sexually explicit behavior instead of toxic behavior (I wasn't even being toxic or mean! I was just mad at them for frontlining! No one likes a frontliner!) And somehow to them, they took that as sexually explicit behavior. And now I have a 10 minute time out. This false reporting thing really is a problem! And Rec Room's reporting system in general is VERY flawed if people are able to just do stuff like this to anyone whenever they want to. And those girls probably did that because they knew that if they reported me for sexually explicit behavior, then something bad would happen to me.
Thanks for your help, I really needed this as I am often reporting people in Zendesk for bad conduct, I will use this information as much as I can. Again, thank you!
Back when I had a junior account (And when i was 12) i would easily get mad and falsely report people who are better than me. Now that I'm 13 years old and now have a little more sense, I can now communicate and realize that either there not really a bad person and become friends with them
Although the teleport is a bit faster than locomotive option since someone proved their speed. Which does make it a bit unfair. maybe they should tweak it a bit...
Should you report an individual who is attempting to persuade people to report a particular incident, or is it best to disregard the person's request to report collectively?
Yeah this guy was harassing everybody in RecRoom and being a jerk and he had a bunch of his friends and if anybody spoke up and was like hey man that’s not cool then he would have them vote kicked out and run around and tell everybody that they were doing something wrong even though they weren’t
Honestly, I never knew that you could edit the message for reporting, I thought that all you could use was the drop down menu and certain reasons, thanks RecRoom!
Gonna be real, I had a group mass report me for "being underage" because we have strict room rules. Y'all made me pay to prove I'm an adult on top of it 🙃 Wish y'all would have a better report system
Actually, not only does the money get refunded, it's not Rec Room's choice to have that and is COPPA's verification thing. Also, it does tell you this when you go to pay
I reported my first user the other day, and wanted to thank coach for the message, gave a good dose of dopamine to know my report helped the community! 😁
I have an idea, if you get juniored instead of being a junior forever after 2 weeks instead, you would enter your birthday and wait until you (if you put your real birthday) were over 12.
"Reporting someone in a group makes the report weaker." - We've been getting too many reports of: Harrasment. Your timeout lasts: 1h - You cannot join this room: Too many reports. - Thanks.
1:38 ok I understand the other two but the first one so you don't want us to report someone who is dating someone else who is probably underage I pretty much you don't want us to report paedophiles
i mostly like online dating becausei cant date irl cause i cant find a girl motly i teleport in dodgeball some people may get hate for teleporting if i get kicked from dodgeball witch is meaning the i got kicked because for soundboard blasting or teleporting if other people tele thats fine with me as long as they dont get reported.
Thank you this is proof for some people online that are getting in people's business about things they shouldent really care about making a big deal about it
What if, for example, someone was telling people to commit suicide and everyone reports a different situation? (Asking because this did happen, to me, in rec room, this year)
3:26 OMFG BRO. We are allowed to report people for for online dating it would be so weird to go into a rec center and seeing 5 online daters saying uwu, sugar booger, sweet pie, and a lot of other things
@@RecRoom listen the game has too many weird stuff inside i live the game and all but some things i don’t like are that kind of stuff so you have to accept that it’s my opinion so i get to report the things that make me feel unsafe or uncomfortable
@@ryfto8346 Heads up, you're getting "blocking" and "reporting" mixed up. Feel free to block those people if they make you uncomfortable. Like we said, you can block anyone for any reason! That's what it's there for. What you can't do is report them. Reporting is there to show the team that this person is breaking the rules of the game. Dating is not against the rules. The staff told you not to report them, and staff will be exactly the ones who see the report. They don't take action against people who date under healthy, consent-based relationships. So, not only is reporting for dating pointless, it also breaks a rule by doing so, which results in you getting banned too. Simply block the people you don't want to see, or leave the room!
