I also love that it is now possible to simply check-in and check-out using contactless payments on all Dutch public transport, making it easier (and still the same price) as an anonymous ov-chipcard. Benefit is that you then don't need an ov-chipcard or to load money anymore (except when using a personal one with discounts).
For as far there still are ticket-windows left, you can. Most regional operator ticket windows (buses/trams, but those are even more rare) usually have an option to do so. Be aware that the Dutch National Railways will apply a surcharge for using the ticket-window (at least 50 Eurocent or even a Euro, I don't know at this moment) Just for clarity: if you buy a single-use ticket from the ticket-machine, you also get a 1 Euro surcharge applied because they don't want you to use the ticket-machines (yes.... it's really customer-friendly....)

Kan op twee manieren: online saldo bestellen en dit ophalen bij een kaart-automaat, winkel of aan de buitenkant van een bus met ophaalpunt (een van de slechtste oplossingen naar mijn mening omdat die bus dan wel moet blijven staan en het schermpje ervan slecht leesbaar is), of automatisch opladen activeren. Ons 'systeem' is niet slim genoeg om (zoals vroeger wél mogelijk was) dat saldo gewoon bij te schrijven zodra je ergens incheckt...
